How To Make Money Doing Nothing

An interesting thing happened to me this morning. I was checking some of my accounts and found this strange credit from Amazon. Now, I didn't buy anything from Amazon recently that I returned so I had to do some digging.
Random Number
The credit amount was also pretty random--10.67. I won't bore you with all the places I checked but I eventually ended up on my Amazon Associates account. I have a site that I have paid no attention to in a few years. It's one of those sites that I would love to work on but never seem to find the time. Over the years, I have often contemplated dumping it but never got around to it. Since I couldn't make a decision I continued to renew the domain name and simply left it out there.
This site has only 12 posts for Amazon products. It's the only other site I have right now that is still alive but not really active--or so I thought.
After checking out the Amazon Associates Payment History I was surprised to find that I had mad some money off this site! It's not a lot of money but I've done NOTHING to this site in about 4 years!
I actually made money DOING NOTHING!
I know. It's hard to believe, right? But it's true! Sometime in March while I was in Paris hanging out with my friend from Alaska, I made a sale on a big purse that earned $6.57 commission. Combined with a few other sales, I earned enough for a payout! This site doesn't even get much traffic and yet I still managed to make a sale somehow!
So the image at the top here is what I saw on my bank acount that looked pretty odd to me. Below that is my Payment History report from Amazon Associates.
The Downside
Imagine how much I could be making if I actually paid attention to this site and gave it the love it deserves! So now I'm feeling a little guilty about neglecting my little site that is trying so hard for me against all odds! Even if I only posted once a week on this site, it would be better than nothing and who knows how much I could've been making in the meantime?
Feeling Inspired
I have been collecting product ideas to put on this site for awhile now. I have them all stored in a little folder and I'm feeling inspired. I think it's time to resurrect this site and give it some love! With summer, holidays, etc., there's no limit to the different audiences I can reach!
It's Possible!
I wanted to show you all that it is indeed possible to make an online income using all the tools and training right here at WA. Although, I do not advise setting up a site and ignoring it. Follow the training, watch the weekly videos, ask questions in Live Chat or post a question when you are stuck and stick to the plan. Try not to fall for shiny objects outside of WA and be consistent.
It's not a lot of money, I know. But it proves that the system works and with consistency it will pay off!
I hope this post has served to inspire anyone who's on the fence or feeling like they won't ever "get it." You will!
