hey hi Ferra ...
Charles (Chowie) and Diane's got the correct answers to your question.
And Charles has been here at WA for 10+ years ... so if anyone would know, he does!
And yes, i've noticed that in my PMs and it does signify the member is no longer on the platform.
keep well ...
Hey Ferra,
Never even noticed THIS... until you mentioned it. Now I see what you mean.
It certainly does look though the member has broken off communicating with WA altogether. However, if you are uncertain, have you reached out to Kyle in a private message?
Hope you find this helpful.
Hi - they are no longer members at WA. They have not paid their subscription or have been banned. They will always show as premium , even after their membership has ended.

As stated, it means that a premium member has relinquished their membership, by not renewing their membership subscription.
Content remains in the system.
Inline with, privacy legislation, and the right to be forgotten, by clicking on account data on the account settings profile page all data can be erased, by clicking on that link.
Some members have taken that route.

Hello WA Family π
I admit sometimes I have this habit of checking other websites' authority with a free tool like SEMRush.
I thought the we
Very good question that we ALL are wondering! I think if you stand on your head for 5 minutes every morning and then scream really loud towards the west GOOGLE will index you and move you up in the search engines more rapidly than anyone else. Of course GOOGLE CAN always change their rules and silence anyone at anytime. Your guess is as good as mine!
There are many things that contribute to domain and page authority.
I've learned the hard way that image alt tags and content SEO optimization are key factors.
Also, domain age, website speed, publishing frequency, social media presence, and backlinks are factors.
I think as long as you apply the training at WA and give your site enough time, both scores increase.
But I've seen bloggers with the biggest scores do Guest blogging as well.
Hi Neil,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it. ππ
I agree with you. When we implement the training whether it is the core training, Jay's live classes, and other members training as well, we should be fine.
The key is consistency, right? π
Once again thank you.
Have a great week.

Hi Ferra
According to Business matters magazine:
"Authority sites are developed when an individual builds out a website specifically focused on one particular topic or subject."
which makes your site an authority because it has plenty of unique content that is tightly focused on your core subject.
That quoted article has more information on what else makes a site an authority so it's worth the read.
Basically, if you create a site that has unique, extremely helpful information that leaders within your niche are happy to link to and you concentrate on quality over quantity; you will gain a reputation from both search engines and real people. This reputation will lead to increased exposure for your site, higher quality backlinks and, in the end, a larger income.

Hello WA Family πββοΈ
On my last blog post I shared my podcast launch planning. I have recreated a new podcast cover that I think looks more profe
Podcasts are popping up everyone more rapidly now due to Covid 19. However, while podcasts can be another form of lucrative opportunity to expose a product/content to your listeners, there is a high percentage of podcasts program collapsing everyday. It's like a hit and miss thing. You either have some good contents/topics to engage your audience with or end up not making it. I don't want to knock your idea down. I'm just stating some facts based on current research. Major factors are time consuming, file storage, not searchable, accessibility problems, and limited audience. It doesn't hurt to test it out and see where it'll take you from there. If I had a choice, I'll go with the last question. All the best!
That's a valid point and makes sense. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate it. ππ
I listen to tunnel vision for USC Trojans podcast or any USC Trojan football related podcasts. I listen for about 45 minutes before wanting it to end unless the content is excellent. I really do not care about the music so much but they do have it at the BEGINNING and end of the podcast for about 30-45 seconds. Ads should be placed at the beginning or the middle but not at the end of the podcast. I enjoy the interviews and question answer content. I listen about once or twice a week depending on the topic, i.e. recruiting, the next game coming up, what the coaches said etc...They sometimes have callers call in and that is interesting. I hope this gives you some good ideas. Emak! John
Hi John,
Thank you very much for your support by sharing your experience listening to podcasts.ππ I appreciate it.

My daughter have introduced us to pod cast and it is an easy way to listen while driving.
We focus on health topics and insights from various natural doctors. Our longest ones are usually about 1 hr.
We love the music from the 60s to 80s. But as we gotten older, we have grown fond of instrumental music and orchestra . Funny how that work.
Guess appearance- Yes The discussion become more lively and different perspectives.
Good luck with your findings.
Hi Dennis,
Thank you very much for your support by sharing your experience listening to podcasts.ππ I appreciate it.
My plan is to be using my hometown's traditional music for my intro and outro. I have some friends who own dance academy and they create and record their own music.
I am thinking to do short episodes, but I wouldn't mind mixing it with a longer one once in a while. It depends on the topic, whether or not I have guest appearances, etc.
Once again, thank you. Have a great weekend!

1) Do you listen to podcasts? If so, what is your favorite podcast and why?
I used ti listen to training type podcasts but less nowadays because there is often too much βfluffβ. So I tend to listen occasionally for entertainment. My favourite is a Rugby Union podcast called βHouse of Rugbyβ.
2) Do you enjoy long or short podcasts? How long do you typically listen to a good podcast?
Usually a naximum of half an hour.
3) Do you like it if the host starts with ads before going to his or her topic of the day?
No. But I accept it as necessary sponsorship.
4) What about music... Do you think a jingle or just a short instrumental song is enough for the intro and outro?
I am a musician and love music but most musical intros are not to my taste and too long.
5) Guest appearance. Do you like it if the format is interview like, talks, or discussion? Or, does it sound better and more enjoyable if it's in a relaxed and friendly chat kind of talks?
I prefer the friendly chat style / interview so long as there isnβt a lot of time-wasting.
Richard
Hi Richard,
Thank you very much for your support by sharing your experience listening to podcasts.ππ I appreciate it.
I am so grateful for your input. You just gave me ideas and things to think about further. Especially for the intro and outro music.
Since you're a musician, I would love to hear your perspective on using a traditional instrument. My plan is to use traditional music from my hometown (Borneo, Indonesia). It will be a traditional 2 or 3 string guitar. I am thinking, 5 to 8 seconds before my intro.
What do you think?
Once again, thank you very much for your support. I will be checking the podcast you recommended. I love learning as much as I can so I can do mine in the right way.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Ferra
Interesting. As it happens I trained classically (violin) through school but mainly played traditional music from the UK, Scandinavia and America plus some jazz (violin and mandolin). Started playing professionally while at school. I also have music recording and production qualifications and experience. Once a musician, always a musician although I cannot play at the moment due to Muscular Dystrophy. I would need to hear an example to be objective, but it sounds like a great idea. When you are ready, feel free to reach out (pm if you wish) so that I can listen and give feedback. Iβd love to help.
Richard.
Thanks so much, Richard. It will be like a mandolin. It's traditional guitar from Borneo that has 2 or 3 strings. I will be sending you a PM but I am not sure I can attach an MP3 file though.
Perhaps not but could you use google drive, or dropbox or similar and share the link?
Richard
1) Do you listen to podcasts? If so, what is your favorite podcast and why?
I listen to the TraderCobb Crypto podcast, because I am into crypto
2) Do you enjoy long or short podcasts? How long do you typically listen to a good podcast?
About 10min is good I think
3) Do you like it if the host starts with ads before going to his or her topic of the day?
Yes its OK that is how TraderCobb starts
4) What about music... Do you think a jingle or just a short instrumental song is enough for the intro and outro?
Yes I think that is perfect if you have a catchy song
5) Guest appearance. Do you like it if the format is interview like, talks, or discussion? Or, does it sound better and more enjoyable if it's in a relaxed and friendly chat kind of talks?
I like both mix it up a bit I reckon.
Hope that helps just my thoughts

There are so many things to be prepared and learned, but I will keep going. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, Dave.
I might need a brand photographer to create my brand cover. I will also need to contact a friend who can allow me to use his group's music as my intro and outro music. It will be traditional music from my hometown (Borneo, Indonesia).
Have a great weekend.

Hello WA Family,
Have you tried to sponsor a member with credits before? If I transfer my credits to a member, can they use it to pay for their WA membership fee?
Yes, me too. That's why I am curious if it is possible to do. Unfortunately, we can only transfer community credits, but cash credits so they won't be able to use the credits to pay for their membership fee.
Wouldn't it be awesome if their was such a program on this platform that would allow sponsorship of a fellow member? Maybe to just help with a portion in return for some kind of credit. Lets be honest some people have a hard time sometimes but those same people may be in a position to help others later. I think this is worth putting some thought into.
I second this idea. Some may be hard up on cash for now but they have the skills and ability to provide some sort of service to other members who in turn can assist with the subs payment. Just a thought.
True true. I agree with you! Because if we could help other members who are in need, they'll stay a member here longer and contribute to the community as well later.
According to Diane in her answer below, we can transfer our community credits not cash credits. So they can only use it for requesting comments in the Site Comment.
Hi - you can only transfer community credits, not cash credits, so it's not possible to pay for their membership.
Hi Diane,

Appreciate your time in answering my question. π

Hi WA Family,
I know on our Site Manager we can turn our SSL certificate button ON, however, sometimes there are some pages that can still turn out has no pad lock or not
For those of you that don't know what is SSL, you can google it and you will find a lot of info. But in simple terms, it makes your site secure by encrypting content. So if your visitor is asked to enter email information, they will feel more confident email address is not secure.
Many bloggers ask for email address to receive newsletters and they prefer to see that the website is secured. Chrome browsers marks all sites using only http, instead of https as not secured. This will make some visitors skeptical of entering any information to your website. Ex: all sites that accept credit cards, must have SSL certification to make it secured.
I hope this kind of helps.
Hi Ferra
With The SSL you mentioned that although we have it activated there may be some pages or posts may show as unsecure.
There is a site called https://www.whynopadlock.com/ which I got from Jay in one of his webinars.
This will tell you which page or post are not secure and why even though you may already have SSL activated
The majority of time for an unsecured page or post is due to images which may only have HTTP instead of HTTPS.
I have had this a few times in the past and all I had to do is find the image and simply added the s to the end of HTTP and it worked.
Andre
Hi Andre,
Thank you very much for your input. I went to deactivate the plugin. Check my website with whynopadlock.com and the results are all good (except for the Protocol which I don't understand why). Bottom line is, SSL certificate is valid, it's installed correctly, and I have no mixed content.
I am happy to delete the plugin now.
I really appreciate your help.
Ferra
That is great to hear Ferra as the the techniqual parts like the protocol I bypass them as I don't understand them either. as Long as the site is secure that is the main thing.
Enjoy your evening

Hey Ferra,
If you are now building a website on the WA servers from scratch, then NO, you do NOT need any SSL plugin.
However, if you have content on your site that was added years before the SSL was even available here, you will more than likely still need your SSL plugin.
Even importing an older site to WA's SiteRubix server and updating all content there so not to interfere with the LIVE website, I STILL ended up needing the SSL certificate once I transferred the cloned and fixed site to the LIVE domain.
What you could do to test it, is to deactivate the SSL plugin... sign back into your Dashboard, as WP will kick you off your site until you do (security reasons)... then test your website in http://whynopadlock.com to see if you really need to the plugin any more... or not.
If you DO still need it, simply re-activate the plugin and all is fine once again. If NOT... delete the plugin.
Hope you find this helpful.

I use Really Simple SSL and I still experienced some of my sites not showing https:. After some troubleshooting, I found out that the reason why some pages where not showing SSL was because my browsing history was stored in the browser cache.
I deleted all my browsing history. Then I entered the url address I wanted to see after making changes in my WP dashboard. And, Wala, now it showed the little lock. Try deleting your browsing history in your browser first. The reason this happens is because, some of the urls that I was entering in the url address bar, were the ones that I had entered before I turned on the SSL (in this case the plugin you mentioned).
That may be happening with you as well. Let me know if this helps.

I really appreciate your input. You made a good point there for clearing browser's cache and cookies. I try to do it regularly.
