Hello WA Family đź‘‹

How's your week so far? Hope you're all safe and happy. 🙂

Today I would love the community to share your expertise, please...

So, I just opened my web mail and I found an email with an interesting subject: Content Marketing Partnership. It was sent to me this morning but I just checked my web mail this afternoon because I was working on my website audit (I found crawl errors and stuff today but Site Support helped me to fix it).

My website is in Health niche. Someone from a well-built website in New York emailed me to partner with them. She claimed, as they are championing health and wellness, they recently launched a blog that features awesome articles about the importance of healthcare and overall wellness, as well as useful content that offers health tips, the latest news and trends in the medical space, and more.

So she said, as part of the partnership, their social media team will share with our followers any of my own content or announcements and promotions, to help me expand my reach as well.

I went to their site which I think looks professional. I also checked their site using SEMRush. They seem to have pretty good daily organic traffics considering it is a newly launched blog.

On their site, I can see they are also partnered with Penn Medicine, Soho House, Namaste New York, Complete Wellness, to name a few.

This is an exciting news and yet pretty scary at the same time. You know, I am still somewhat an alien to this content marketing world.

I know I have to reply to the offer. Since this is an entirely new experience for me, therefore, I would love to hear from you WA Family.

So, what should I do next?

Do I need to check if it is genuine, not a scam or something? Then reply to the offer? I mean, her email is with gmail but she does put the name of the website. It's jut not a web mail like I have. That's why I am a little suspicious. Or am I overreacting? haha... Excuse this newbie.

Anyways, I would really appreciate your input.

Hi Ferra
I think they want to share your post on their site because you might be writing engaging posts and I have gut feeling that they would offer you to write a content for them.
If it's mutual beneficial than you should take it.
Before signing any contract please get your contract checked with some expert lawyer.
All the best.

Cheers
Nilesh

I don't know anything about this. However, I would be interested in knowing how this works. I figure if all they want to do is share my site/content on their social media then why would they have to ask. Just share it. Unless, they are trying to get you to do the same with their site. I mean do they want you to sign some sort of contract? Cause I'm sure they want something in return. Right? Like a retainer fee or maybe you'll pay for results.

I'm pretty much following this post.

This is what I am scared of because we are not sure yet who we are going to partner. But we are on a business we also do have to take a risk to be successful..

It's not unusual for online businesses to partner with others. If they're asking for a link to your site and you to there's, then this is called backlinking and be beneficial to all parties. I've done it on my website . However, there are many unscrupulous business's out there that sell backlinks. This sort of backlinking is not appreciated by Google, whereas honest ones that involve the sort of business you have mentioned are fine.
Do a bit more research and maybe phone the business involved. Jik
