Got caught up by a surprise this morning. Got this email from Mailchimp:

"MailChimp is not able to serve as the email provider for your account with the username XXXX because the content associated with your industry conflicts with our Acceptable Use Policy (mailchimp.com/legal/acceptable_use) or presents a significant risk to our deliverability."

Well! I will be honest here and admit that I had not read their acceptable use and it seems that one cannot be in the

  • Work from home, make money online, and lead generation opportunities

The main reason I had chosen Mailchimp (and wasted hours creating a campaign) was that I could grow my list to 2000 subscribers before starting a "paying" account.

Anyway, I want to move forward and need someone who could direct me to another Email autoresponder service that would be as cheap as Mailchimp which was FREE for the first 2000 subscribers...

Thanks

I am sorry I can't be a whole lot of help on this one as I haven't started with the email list yet. But I do know I have watched a couple of Jay's live webinars that he did mention several autoresponders out there. Those might be of some help to you. He did list free ones and paid ones I know.

In the past I have used mailchimp but there are much better options for affiliate marketers.

In my humble opinion Drip is currently the best autoresponder. Its free for the first 100 subscribers but does get expensive relative to some of the other options out there. The reason is that it is so incredibly powerful. I guess it depends on what you are looking for in terms of features, but if you plan to segment your subscribers in order to send them more relevant content then you cant go wrong with this one.

Convert kit is also good but personally I prefer Drip.

If you don't currently need some of the more advanced segmentation features then Aweber is worth a look. Many WA members use it and like it.

I hope that helps

Hello Blanchard,

There is a " Comparison of the Best Email Marketing Platforms for Ecommerce " done by Oberlo an application for Shopify platform but this a public info. Find it at :"https://www.oberlo.ca/blog/email-marketing-platforms" . I will save this on my file as well.
I hope it helps.
All the best,
Marcus

There are members here that use mailchimp. But they admit they are careful and don’t include affiliate links in emails. Also not sure if they are in different niche besides MMO. Check out Jay’s email series training. He talks about options on first training.

I actually watched that training and that is where I got Mailchimp as a Free Email provider. They never mentioned anything about their policies either (Or maybe they did but I don't recall). I know that in that training Jay had mentioned another free provider but I don't remember the name.

As for being careful and not including links in an email, what would be the purpose?

Thanks for your answer! :)

Oh I mean direct affiliate links in email. You link to blog post where the affiliate link lives, not link directly to WA affiliate link from email.

And the mail chimp policies were mentioned on chat during that training....

yes, that training didn't really dwell on reliable free responders, he was leaning on aweber at $19 pm

Aweber or get response.

You have to pay, but they likely won't do anything stupid like that.

Unfortunately that is a possibility with anybauti responder. So as a precaution, I would back up my email list locally every so often.

THATS YOUR LIST. So keep it.

That way if you do get unceremoniously shut down, you can go with another provider and just upload your list.

Will the at least let you export your list? I would fight for that.

I got everything as soon as I got the email...I even copied my campaign, so I actually did not lose anything.
I know that Aweber and getResponse are both excellent, but there is no free option to start. I am just starting my list and don't want to spend money I am not making. The list should be self-sufficient, so I will try and get something else until it pays for itself! :)

GREAT!!!! I can have up to 2500 subscribers before I start paying. Now I will read their policy before going any further!

Thanks a lot, Chris!!!
