I'm considering trying out "Icegram" ...

if you know what I mean because you are using it or have tried it out, could you please put a few words together to tell me what you think of it?

Thank you all ... any feedback on your experience is appreciated.
:-)

I have used it a little bit. It has been a while ago. But I thought it was quite good and at the time wondered why it was not talked about more. I still have it one of my test sites. The popup worked great!

The only thing I could not do was send automated emails. I can't remember if it gives one the ability to classify users because that would seem to be very useful in sending emails that were not autogenerated like AWeber does.

Thank you for that George ... that's what I'm trying to figure out right now... if it's possible to automate campaigns in the free version to properly try it out. There's a lot of documentation.

Let me know what you think as to creating automated campaigns with the free version because plugins do get updated and it has been a year since I have looked at it...

I will do, George. Also, it looks as if Trish might have some useful input ...

I still can't understand if it is an autoresponder like Aweber. In some ways it seems that it is. But not sure.

Thank you George for that link. IT does make it look as if you can use it as an autoresponder... but still not very clear. I've sent an enquiry to Icegram and await their response.

Never heard of it. What does it do?

Icegram provides a simple/easy and free way to place a form on a website for encouraging visitors to subscribe for future website updates. They also provide other free ways to create popups and simple email campaigns. There is a pro version that looks like great value for money as well.

Does the free version give you access to an autoresponder ?

Well, Frank...
It certainly includes the ability to set up broadcasts and campaigns but I'm still trying to figure out how comprehensive and tailorable it is.

Me too, Jeff!
But it's not well known so I don't expect much direct feedback on this.

I might have to look it up, Richard! My interest is peaked now!

Well, it seems to be good for capturing a few emails and delivering auto-notifications to subscribers when new posts are added. Also, it looks good for handling individual broadcasts but I haven't sussed out auto-response email campaigns yet.

Is it Free? If not, what does it cost? This sounds like something that might work well with my book promotion site. I am also considering Mailchimp, since my site is not an Affiliate marketing site, per se!

Free to start then about 9 to 11 USD pm I believe.

Hi, Richard

I’ve read about it but not tried it yet, so I am very interested to see what others think.

I've taken the first step with it and am learning... but if anyone has the prior experience it might help.
