I have received a comment from an unknown sender. It only says "Track Back" to the article and the website. Is this safe or it is a spam?. Thanks for your help.
I consider anything like that spam, but more experienced members may have a different take on it!

Hi, Elores, you can prevent trackbacks and pingbacks by making sure the box is unchecked.
Click on text (not visual) and at the top right-hand corner you should see Screen Options, click on that and a number of options will appear, make sure the Discussion box is checked.
Now keep scrolling down until you see Discussion, and underneath two boxes: Allow Comments and Allow Trackbacks and Pingbacks. Make sure the Allow Comments box is checked and the Allow Trackbacks and Pingbacks box is unchecked. Hope this helps. Best Wishes

I am having non-related niche comments posted
on my one of my article and I am not sure how to deal with this issue.
This looks like advertisements related to sports shoe
It's just spam, and it's very common. Install Antispam Bee and you won't even need to see them. Akismet Alternative - Antispam Bee Akismet Plugin - The Dark Side of Greed.
Thanks, Marion I will install this right away. Enjoy the rest of the holidays and all the best for the New Year.
its probably spam bot , mark it as spam in your comments dash board if you want ? You could consider adding akismet wordpress spam blocker if it continues ? just my thoughts
Thank you very much for your help. I will do what you suggested. Enjoy your Holidays and all the best for the New Year.

I am stuck as to when to write a Page instead of a post. If I only want to write a short article about 400-500 words, can it be posted as a page? as it doesn't have the number
Hi Elores
You have got some good answers here.
I only use pages for such things as Privacy policy, Affiliate Disclosure etc, and also for Product pages, and I set them to be no-followed, although that does not always work!!
Everything else is a post.
I hope everything is clearer to you now :)
Whilst I agree with Elaine, always thought that a page was a permanent addition to your web site, such as a landing page, about me, contact page and so it goes on.
H Delores,
Elaine and Mary are right of course. I don't think there is a law (or Google Law) where you can't use a page like a post. But a page is for a static article like "About Me" or "Privacy Policy".
Several years ago I wanted some articles to be seperate from my main niche on the blogroll. So I wrote several 1.000+ pages on the this different subject (niche) .
However I don't think they are ranked very good, but on the other hand I got a Privacy Policy (page) Indexed by Google the other day.
It is possible to switch from page to posts thru Site Continent if you changed your mind after you published it as a page.

Elaine is right if you want comments you need to post and if you don't want comments you make it a page. I hope this helps you out.
Just to let you know, you can turn on comments for specific pages as required. When you're editing the page, click on the tab at the top that says "Screen Options" and in the panel that slides down, add a check mark to "Discussion".
A new panel will appear below the page editors that enables you to indicate that you want the page to accept comments.
Sorry for muddying the waters but I thought it would be useful to know in case you ever want people to be able to leave comments on one of your pages. :)
No, you didn't muddy the water actually I am grateful for the information Thank you so much for the information.
My understanding is a page is something you don't want or need comments on such as your privacy policy. All else is a post.
Tried and True
Elaine
The simple rule for choosing a page or post is whether or not the content is evergreen or should it age.
Pages don't have categories and tags so they can't be discovered by visiting a category or tag page that lists all the associated items and they don't usually have a date associated (visibly) with them. Pages are usually only discoverable by placing them in your site's menu.
Posts are meant to be items that lose relevance over time. So, a review, for example will be less important as time goes on because the item you're reviewing will be replaced with a newer model or people's tastes and interests will change. Posts CAN be sorted into categories and assigned tags to improve their discoverability.
I hope this helps.

I have gone over the new Private Policy page to upgrade but I have found out two problems that I am not sure about. These are:
1 The Privacy Policy Url
2 Auto Responder<
Between Loes and Marion we usually have training for what we need!!
Tried and True
Elaine
Kyle advised me that for the privacy url, you have to make your changes to the privacy policy, publish it and then view it on your website. Click on your search bar where the url is and copy it. Go back to your privacy policy to edit it and then paste your url in the {Privacy URL}.
For the auto responder, those of us who aren't using one can just delete that section.
Hope this helped.
I see Marion is creating training. She does an awesome job. If you aren't able to figure it out, she will definitely show you in the training.
Good luck
I'm in the middle of creating a video for this Delores. Give me a couple of hours to get it finished.

I have been using Site Content with all of my articles without problems but last night I wrote my article and published it as usual. When I try to update in WP, everything was
Elementor is good if you want to create multiple columns in the text flow. I use it to create side by side pros and cons comparisons and it works great. But then you have to continue to edit in Elementor. If you go back to the WP editor the format doesn't stay. In which case you have to go back to Elementor and update again.
Ok thanks Steven! I got some great reviews about it in Malaysia. I had looked at a few YouTube elementor vids.
Cheers

I tried to use Elementor but it didn't work right for me in the beginning so I deleted it. Haven't used it since.

I use Elementor but not with SiteContent.
I find that if I create and publish an article using WordPress - but in your case SiteContent - when I try to edit it in Elementor it looks messy.
Elementor seems to work well if the post is first created using it. After that I can toggle between Elementor and Wordpress without any issues.
I use site content then I edit in WP and every thins is all a mess. I don't know what is happening here.
Thanks for your help
When you say everything was changed to Elementor, can you edit a post with Wordpress?
What plugin got updated?
I wrote my article using site content, then publish it using site content. After publishing, I went to update in WP. Before I update, there was these red icons at the side panel for plugins to be updated. I updated the plugins and elementor appears. This was the first time I saw this.
I thought this was the usual WP plugins that I usually update when the red icons come up, but this was different.
Thanks for your help.
I started off with site content and went to WP to update my article and this is when I updated plugins and say elementor for the first time. Thanks
Thank you very much for your support. Everything is back to normal now. I don't know if I will have any more problems right now.
All the best to you.
I use Elementor but haven't had any problems with it. Just deactivate and then trash the Elementor plug-in. Also , if you have Elementor and go edit something you always have the option to edit in WP.
Go to installed plugins on the site dashboard and first deactivate it. Then, you'll be able to remove it.
Hi Steven,
Elementor is deleted but the problem is still there when I try to edit my blogs. Thanks
I would send a message to Site Support and ask them take a look instead of driving yourself crazy.
Thank you Steven. I have asked them to check it for me and I am waiting their answer.
Thank you very much.

Do you have elementor installed? I use elementor on some pages and not others. You should have a choice to edit elementor or WordPress editor
Go to plugins and deactivate Elementor - check on your site and make sure that some pages are not messed up without it. Some themes use Elementor to build pages - so depending on your theme, you may need it.
Go to your profile and add your blog there -- in the bottom right corner so I can take a look at your site.
