I heard many people working in affiliate marketing on the Internet that a landing page is just fine and that we don't need a website. What do you think of that?
Do we absolutely need a website or a landing page is fine?

A landing page is a page on a site that the reader "lands" on. If you have one product on one page, and that is it, you can promote it and make money, spend money to make money, or you can take one product, write a review, take a similar product, write a review, take 10 more similar products and write a review. In the end, the more product landing pages you have, the more sales you can make.
Wealthy Affiliate's training teaches you to build your site, how you build it is up to you. What you put on it (Content, Links, Pages, Posts) they all add up to a greater authority that allows your website to sit on Google search pages and earn you money by getting them there.
Thank you for your answer Huffman! I understand the idea better because of your input. But since I'm pretty new in that sphere, I'm scared that I have to invest too much money. Is a website not more expensive than a landing page coming from LeadPages for example? Also, how can I write an honest review about a product if I can't afford it myself to try it? I can search about informations on the web but anybody can do it if I can, no?
Once you purchase your WA premium membership, you have access to build 25 websites with as many landing pages as you want.
Many members here, myself included have multiple sites, the end goal in that situation is to get income coming from multiple sites, that are all selling niche specific products. I have 2 amazon affiliate sites, and one WA affiliate site, (And A Restaurant Website, that pays me in food) I just upgraded to the yearly membership, with the black Friday deal that was just offered (It's Over Now), and I never plan on leaving WA.
A website with multiple landing pages in the main teaching of WA, then getting it ranked in search engines, and or promoting with social media. You do not have to spend any money if you plan to only use SEO (Search Engine Optimization) getting your sites ranked and earning money organically, it takes longer to see sales, but in the long run you will have yourself set up for basically automatic payments to you. (That's what everyone loves to call it, Automatically making you money, but no matter what you do, you have to set it up.)
Beyond the WA membership and domain registration fees ($14ish), you do not need to pay for anything, I have been playing around with all kinds of paid campaigns, but that is the main reason I got a job again, got to find what works before you can pump tons of $$$ into it.
I kind of wrote you a book, but a website is better than just one landing page... If you want to make a long term business.

Thank you so much! So if I understand correctly, affiliate networking is working quite well for you (you actually make money with it)? How long is it been your doing this?
Everyone has a different journey and if making money is your sole priority, the WA Bootcamp and a huge social media push would be the way to go for fast money.
I chose to learn as much as I could and I still do, my newest site actually just sold 5 items off amazon yesterday.
Affiliate marketing is about finding a competitive niche, working your way up the ranking pages and then to sales. Helping people with your info, then providing them a link to conveniently, help them buy the product, you just happen to get commission for helping! :)
WA has been my largest source of income, but it all got put back into new campaigns and keeping my monthly membership paid, now I am yearly so no more worry there!
About 2 more weeks and I will be back into full force WA promoting. :D

Consider starting a meetup. It costs only about $15 (not sure in Canada) and if you have a place to meet, that's cool and everyone involved can chip in, or just go to meetup.com right now and see if there already is one. I can't believe there isn't in a big city like Montreal. I love the human connection as well and I actually plan on doing this but I would suggest jumping in here and helping others, it is the best way to stay motivated. Get here everyday if you can and notice what a difference it will make.
