Google Console
Hello dear Wealthy Affiliate Family, a blessing to everyone, and hope all are staying safe.
I do need some help with my Google search console, I was trying to fix the AMP, and when I click on it go fix it,
the message came up with to verify that I am the owner of the site, I enter the URL for my site, but it came verification of ownership failed, I kept on trying and following the instruction of what to do, but it constantly said ownership failed. Can someone help direct me to the correct way to go, cause obviously, I am missing out on something? See the screenshot below.
I appreciate all the help you can give.

Thanks, Jeff I will, also I am glad you mention where to find those class replays, you just jog my memory, since I didn't get the chance to follow 14 days classes.

Do you actually have the AMP plugin installed?
If you have, try removing it perhaps.
If you haven't, I'd ask site support.

Yes Richard I do, but the reason for the AMP was because I am having a problem with the (mobile: total blocking time and largest contentful paint) they are poor, so I was trying to improve the speed in this. But now I am having a lot of problems getting my site to run at in good standard.

Well, site support specifically asked me to remove it when I tried it a few months back. It causes too many conflicts. What are you doing about optimising images?

I did the same thing with the code and it failed too. Richard's advice to uninstall the AMP, I am going to try that.

Elizabeth, after you input the code, you need to refresh your website's cache
To do this, you need to :
Go to site manager
Select your website
Click on details
Scroll to Site +
Then to cache
Clear cache
And then go back to Google console and click verify

Elizabeth, I think Jeff has a good suggestion. I had that problem at first, but figured out what to do...and of course, now I don't remember. Good luck -- you will figure it out.
