Google Removes 500 Apps from the Play Store
12
All 500 Apps which contain 'IGEXIM' controlled server have been pulled out of Google Play Store. Google believes with the new study by Lookout, that they contain secret back-door which could be used to steal personal data on mobile phones.
No mention of the names of theses Apps, so how do you know if you are affected? If any of your App suddenly disappear, then that could be the culprit. You just have to wait for an update on the relevant App.
Thank you,
Lanu.

It's good to stay on top of thee sorts of developments. Thank you for sharing!
A number of the Android apps that had included the Ixegin ad server have been named. It was developed by a Chinese company, so not surprisingly, the Android apps affected were those developed for the Chinese app market.
The company responsible issued a public apology, but I am sure there are others like it trying to get away with similar things until they're discovered. You think you've seen the last of one, and ten new worries pop up in its place!
Like a many-headed hydra, LOL.
I little more corporate social responsibility in the world would be nice, hey?
Thanks Ivy, I am sort of weary of apps these days, although I agree its not the best way to avoid issues like this.
