I used to submit my URL to Google but today I found a page telling to send a sitemap instead of giving the link to the console. Does that mean that I'll hav
You only need to submit your sitemap once. Once you submitted the sitemap, get your site verified, Google will crawl your site from time to time to see if there are new post/pages for indexing.
There is recommendation to submit your new post url through fetching url to get the post indexed faster. It is optional.

Its always best to create a business page to keep personal separate from business.
If you feel overwhelmed then wait until you at least understand the basics.
There are a whole lot of different ways to promote your business apart from Social Media.
Always proceed at your own pace and take your time.
Absolutely no point in jumping in if you are not sure.
