If I cancel membership but I just paid for another month does it stay open until the next payment is due or does it just close the whole account straight away?
No it stays open until next month if its paid for and then even after that they give you like a 30 day grace period... so you have time to move your site or maybe even come up with the money to make payment..

I can understand your situation. I had to leave for awhile but came back after 3 months. Hope you can do the same.

Rather than adding pages and pages of content, does one page or post being constantly amended count towards googles content algorithm?
Yes over time we should add to our original work. As we learn and grow here I think we improve so I know as I have read over some of my work I have made changes. Better writing and more content.
Yes it do count. As a matter of fact you post evolve overtime with additional content that you get in the comments area with the questions people are posting. Kyle spoke about it in the bootcamp training. Hope that helps.
