Walk, Walk, Walk- How Many Is Too Many?
Like I have said many times, I love to walk.
On Memorial Day weekend my daughter wanted to go on a camping trip for her birthday. Now this wasn't her birthday, it had been earlier in the month but with work schedules being what they are this was the first time all of the family could get together for a camping trip.
Now I love trails, it is like trails have a magnet that will lure me to them. I can see an opening in the grass from a mile away and I must go and investigate it. My daughter calls me "crazy lady" because it can be 100* outside, the sun beating down but if I see a trail, I must go to it (of course with water bottle in hand).
Now according to the dictionary a walk is moving at a regular and fairly slow pace while lifting one foot in front of the other. I don't know about you, but when a trail is calling me I'm NOT moving at a slow pace. As my daughter says it is more like I'm in a trance.
The funny thing about this was my granddaughter who I can't get to walk much at home went on 3 walks when we first got there, 2 more walks later that evening and then 2 walks early the next morning. Oh yeah, 1 walk just before we got in the car to come home. The rest of the time she was swimming in the lake.

So true Elaine! Walking is maybe the best thing for your health! I have an Aunt, maybe 92 now, walks about two miles every day. I try to walk as much as possible, when I miss a day I can really tell the difference.
Hey Wayne
Walking is important but so many people feel they must stop working to walk. That just not true.

Hey Stuart,
Yes WA is important but so is a clear head. Like I said earlier I will take short breaks to clear the cobwebs and get back to work. And I carry my voice activated phone with me so I can work while I walk.

Hey James
I walk in many different places. Mostly in the city but I love the country. We do have a city park close to us that has many trails and paths. I haven't explored them all yet but I'm working on it.

Hey Bill,
Walking is a great way to as I call it clear the cobwebs. Since it's summer now I do most of my walking either early morning or late evening since we live in the city. In the country it doesn't matter when I walk.

Hello, Elaine! Walking is great for you so keep on walking. You can think about your WA work and refresh your mind and body at the same time. Take along a little notebook to jot down ideas as you walk. Keep it up and you oxygenated, healthy body and mind will help you with your online work. Walk on! Colette and Philip
Hey Colette and Philip,
Nice to meet y'all. I usually carry my phone with me that has voice activated speak so I can talk as I walk. Many times my writing doesn't always make a lot of sense because I get sidetracked by nature but that is what the edit button is for.
We live in the city so there is more traffic I have to watch for. We do have some parks with nice trails I like to go to.

Funny looks like your granddaughter is catching the walking bug.
Hey Sheryl,
I think you may be right!!! She seems to have it in the country so I hope it will continue in the city.
