Saying from Long Ago

Today I have had a thought rattling around in my head all day so I guess that means I suppose to blog about it.

Have you ever heard something and thought "I heard that all my life". Well peeps, tell me different sayings you have heard.

-I will start:My grandmother, who we called "Granny" would have us kids come play at her house. I loved to go to Granny's house because she would let me really be a kid. I could make mud pies out of real mud then she would hose me down so I didn't get the mud in the house. Then we would go inside and cook. She would actually let ME help her cook. We would make apricot pies, sweet rice, banana bread, can peaches. And when we canned the peaches I always got to eat a peach. When I was finished then GrandPa would make a basket out of the seed.

One of the saying she always would use was "boys have Hecups and girls have Shecups" I always thought this funny but I find myself using it a lot with my kids and granddaughter.

Never really had nicknames for mine just grandma jo and grandma miller :) If you got things on your mind you better write them down otherwise you may lose it. Even if its just something I'm worried about, writing things down is a great way to kind let go of it even if it's just for a while.

But do you have any sayings you remember hearing from the past that you may use yourself.

If you don't like it don't eat it. Can't top hecups shecups :)

That's a good one!
