Responsibility
I was thinking today about the word "responsibility". This word seems to change it's meaning as we age. Let me explain what I mean by that statement.
As a child "responsibility" means taking care of something when you want. It's Okay if you fall down because because you are still in the learning phase.
As you age and become a parent/caretaker, you take on more "responsibility". Now you feel as though you can't mess up because people's life's are at stake. Are you "responsible" for your happiness, their happiness,or the world's happiness?
Some things to think about...sorry if I brought you down in this joyful season. Was just thinking about this, this morning as I prepared to go to the doctor.

Responsibility and boundaries are words I'm thinking of today. I'm responsible for my family, but I have boundaries when it comes to my daughter's boyfriend. The last time he was here he ranted and raved to my daughter and when she cried, he called her a baby. And now today he wants a ride from me to come over because he car is on the fritz. I told my daughter he can walk. It's only about half a mile. Why should I help someone who makes my daughter cry.

Interesting thought, Elaine...I think that word, responsibility, can change it's meaning even as we embark on this new adventure.
At first, we're just responsible for our own learning; as we engage with others on this platform, we realize that we have to take responsibility for our words; as our business develops and starts to grow, we begin to have a deeper understanding of the responsibility we have to those potential customers and even to fellow bloggers. Yes you are right..as we grow and mature our responsibilities change, they also should change as you have stated.
