First Update For Month 4

So this is the beginning of the 4th month for the SWAG challenge. I know I'm a little behind at posting this but ....

Kyle sent us a survey ( the word for it escapes me at this moment) asking us 4 questions.( I hope I can remember all 4 questions.)

He asked us what we learned, What we improved on, what we wasted time on, and what we will work better on in the future.

One of his comments I really focused on was that if you didn't complete all the task one month, then let it go and start fresh the next month. For example, if we need12 post each month and you only get 9 done. That doesn't mean the next month you need 15. You get to start fresh each month AND NOT beat yourself up for not reaching your goals!!!

I know why I'm late getting this out because I have been writing like crazy so I can get everything done this week because I'm planning to be gone camping over the weekend for my daughter's birthday!! I feel very honored and blessed that she asked me to come along. We are leaving on Friday and will be gone all weekend. When I say camping I mean backwoods, no internet, roughing it, camping!!! To me, there isn't any other way.

This is also my granddaughters last week of school and Friday she gets out of school at 11:15am. We will be leaving soon after that!!! We are soo excited!!!

P.S. I do plan on taking my pen and notebook because I know that I will get LOTS of blog ideas this weekend!!

Wow, camping! Enjoy the family camping trip.

Elaine,

Enjoy your camping trip and time with your family. Family is always a priority for me!

Happy camping. You will get fresh ideas while you are relaxing.
All the best.

Hi Elaine, how did the weekend go? did you get to take lots of piccys? love to see some of them.
I used to go camping years ago with my father, we would fly fish in the rivers in NZ. Yummy fresh trout cooked in butter over a camp fire. We had a few escapes from disaster over the time. We survived!
Cheers Jae ☺

The weekend hasn't happened yet, this coming weekend won't have internet so I will be kicking it old school with pen and paper.
Granddaughter is going to be drawing pictures.

The camping trip sounds wonderful. Enjoy! Yes, it is important to live a balanced life and make time for camping trips and other fun things, otherwise what's the point?

I have a very hard time reaching writing goals because of my full-time career. But I do what I can, and re-determine each day to reach my goals. It's just about doing your best, without feeling bad or guilty. :-)

I agree Wendy!! A balanced life is very important. Reading that just took a lot of pressure off plus it made me stop to think.

Elaine,

Thanks for sharing that you can start over each week or month with your goals instead of playing catch up.

I slowed down during my birthday week, because I took a couple of days of relaxation and it was hard to start back up at the momentum I was going.

I eventually got back on track this time with the understanding I can only do so much in what time I'm given.

I have added exercise to my routine which takes away 1.5 hours from my workday three times a week. I need it now that I spend so much time in front of a computer.

I also take more breaks at least 30 minutes every two hours which cuts into my workday. I need to plan relaxation while I work so I don't feel burned out.

I still need to cook and clean since I'm a housewife so I do a chore during my break from the computer and think about blogging ideas on my shopping trips.

There are volunteer meetings I still attend but I only assign myself to projects that are geared to developing an online presence for the organization since this will be my new field of expertise.

Plus I have to remember to play with my dog and spend time with my fiance. When I lay down at night I wonder how I got it all done.

Through the grace of God mostly with effort on my part.

All the best,

Louisa

All of these things sound like really great ideas!!! You have a very well balanced schedule!!
