Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder
First I want to apologize for my absence here on this platform. I've still been active in WA by reading and responding to emails. I did find a lot of them VERY interesting and helpful.
Since I'm in the process of starting a new website, I have been reviewing the training so I can make sure that I get everything started correctly. I have also been helping out other members when ever they ask for help.
How Things Have Changed
My daughter has taken two jobs so I'm now responsible for my 10 year old granddaughter a lot. That is cool because she is a late sleeper and I'm an early riser so I can get my writing done them.
Well into the mix we throw a 4-year old that loves to get up early. My hats go off to anyone in WA how has little kids and is still able to get writing done!!! She even commented she wanted to wake me up.
I'm getting many story ideas from her but I NEVER have time to write them. She is hilarious and keeps me in stitches, I love her to death but I forgot how active a 4-year old can be.
My granddaughter wanted to be a big sister, but that lasted all of 5 hours, maybe not even that long.

Sounds like you have your hands full Elaine! It is very easily to get distracted. I am sure you'll find time when you both get used to each other a little bit more and settling in with scheduling.
Everything always turn out the way it suppose to be... Enjoy your time with them because as you know they grow up very fast.

Looks like you found a way to keep yourself busy, it's great what you do for your daughter, it's never easy to look after children.

That is too funny Elaine, I bet you weren't too impressed being woken up.... getting enough sleep is pretty hard sometimes.
I love being a granny also, my two are 10 & 8 so pretty much in command of their lives, & mine too sometimes.
What information comes out of their mouths is pretty impressive. I'm in awe of their thoughts.

Children that age will keep you young (if they don't wear you out first!). Enjoy these special moments. They'll be over before you know it, never to return again.

Never a waste of time spent with grand kids. My are all teens but I still send them text, get to take them to lunch and visit. In todays world they need that interaction. Hugs to you.

I enjoy being with them so much but haven't found my routine yet. I'm will probably find it just when it's time for them to leave at the end of the month. haha
Have another 4 year old coming in a week but she will just be here for a few days. Then close to the end of the month and I eight year old is also coming for a few days.

Oh Elaine, I have a daughter married for 11 years and another married 5 years no kids, how I am craving to be a grandmother, the standard joke in the family is, I must a a little child in my life, that is true , to the extend that I brought up my ex's kids, even after he threatened to kidnap our son when we got divorced,You are so lucky and I can see you really do enjoy them...have fun hun...

Being a grandmother has it's benefits. I have just "inherited" two extra kids from my daughters boyfriend. So I'm now a grandmother of three instead of just one.
