Hi,

Has anyone got an email address who I can send an email to, to ask to lift the restriction on my google plus account as nothing has happened in the last 4 days?

Hi, eks10.-Its not hard to get Google-blocked. It harder to get it unblock. The advice below from other of our friends is as good you can get. Good luck, my friend!

You can create another google+ account. Just don't do the same thing you did to get the other one banned

Yes remove it for now and figure out what happened so you can rectify the issue. Why would you throw in the towel? You see that you were able to get the rankings and can get them back. I am not sure what you need others email addresses for? You can create a new one if need be,

Thanks David - I have removed it now. I'm only new to all this, but is it possible to still be successful without google plus or is it a must? Many Thanks

Hi All,

I have just signed into my google plus account and it states that it's been blocked due to me breaking their policies for spamming etc?!? But all I have done is wh

I got a warning once but wasn't blocked. I had added a few WA members to my circle when an option appeared asking me whether I wanted to add all my contacts in my Yahoo account. I clicked yes, and then got the message.

I think it's like Mark said, if there is a sudden burst of activity all the alarm bells start sounding! I would follow his advice and contact them personally.

Good luck.

Lydia.

Great feedback thanks Mark...Seems to me that Mr Google is very serious about the direction being taken with the WWW...I think this is mostly good news for 99% of users & publishers alike...Though must say 'a friend' of a active civil rights group informed me today that not allowing access to certain subversive pg's/sites is not helping their cause (we are talking about people fighting a good fight here...Not fundamentalists or similar, but concerned humans, working on our behalf to keep the corrupt honest etc).

Most of us live out our days for little to no concern over the people risking their lives to make ours better...And I'm certainly not talking about some poor kid who is brainwashed into thinking fighting for god & country is his/her duty...

Food for thought here Mark - cheers mate...

Hi - I got a warning for sharing content a few weeks ago - but I didn't see my content in my own post, so ended up posting multiple times, which is obviously against their policy. Have you maybe done something similar?

Either way, contact Google and explain what you are doing, and the end game - ie. giving their users content that they are looking for. You're not an MLM or scam artist - you have a genuine business reason for your website. They will listen if you take time to talk to a person, rather than their automated bots which may well be responsible for blocking you. It's their core business for you and me to give their customers what they want - and they will turn around any automated decisons, if they are wrong.

I hope this helps?

All the best, Mark

Hi Mark. I have only posted twice through G+ so far and have not experienced any negative feedback. Hope you will get this sorted out. Keep us posted though
John

Hi John - yeah, I'm sorted now thanks - I just wasn't familiar with where to view what I had posted, and just assumed it hadn't worked (so naively clicked a few times thinking it would "just work"). Silly boy!

Cheers, Mark

Good morning all!

I have a little spreadsheet and each morning when I get up I type my keywords into google to see what positions they are inand take a note.

I do th

I thought I read that Google only check you first and last Paragraph. Can anyone confirm that for me. It it is true then you would change your first and last Paragraphs to get better ratings.

Google indexes ALL of your content and can rank you for the natural keywords within the top, bottom and middle of your content. You do not even have to target a specific keyword and still have your content get ranked.

Thanks for the info Boomer.

You're welcome.

I agree. I don't think you would get penalized, though what you are doing is definitely overkill. Write naturally. Put your targeted keywords in and it's good to go. When you know your material and write about it, Google will gift you with keywords in your content you would not have thought of. These are latent semantic indexed keywords that you will rank for.

In short, don't do this every day. There's better things you can do with your time, such as come up with new keyword lists for new articles, and then write these - and build out your site.

What you are doing is not taught nor encouraged here at WA - at least, not so extensively.

First off why are you checking this everyday? That's crazy! Just concentrate on building your website. Google will rank you based on the quality content you provide to your readers that is helpful and informative. That is the only way to get good rankings. You have to think of Google as just another person looking for informative, compelling and engaging content. If you can write that and write that consistently you will do just fine.

But checking your keywords everyday is not going to help you in creating quality content. I can see once every 2 weeks, which I sometimes do, but everyday?

And when you do search make sure you search in Incognito mode because if you do not then your search results will not be accurate.

I'm keen to hear what the clever experts say about this too. I know Google makes me type a captcha after 10 searches in a row. Why don't you try a free service like rankcheckerace.com ?

Hi, is it better for google that I set my blog as my homepage - as I am adding 2 new posts a day - is this better for google and rankings as I'm constantly updating this page -

Great question. I had my home page set up a first, with a couple of links on it to blogs of mine as per Sg's reply below, which I think is a brilliant answer, but I'm not that techy yet! Then I thought heck, does anyone really care about my home page? Confusing myself more! So I now have a summary blogs page with a sticky post on it. But I'm thinking of creating a page with all my archives on it or adding the archives widget back into my theme. It's hard to tell what's best and unless someone can tell me about bounce rates between one or the other, I think I'll stick with what I've got and then move onto Sg's suggestion as I get the know how.

I concur with @RICH.

It depends. 30-40% of my sales are returning customers, so f you're expecting repeat visitors then I'd recommend having a dynamic home page so they always have something fresh to see each time they come back. However, if you're a one-time sale site, then it's probably better to craft the perfect static page. :) Rich.

Or should I leave a static homepage? Thanks

For me, it's good to have my homepage as my landing page - a static page. But I also include the last 5 posts in summary format on the home page to keep it fresh. You can also update your home page with latest your latest twitter comments and dare I say it - even Facebook! :)

Have a fun day!

Simon
