It's been awhile since I've been "active" within the WA community. While I log in every single day and check my stats, write a few blog posts for my websites, and continue to learn more through the excellent training here... I haven't been making WA my priority. That is all about to change. I remember when I first started here (in 2013) and was so incredibly excited to get started. I focused all my attention on building out my websites, doing proper keyword research and I saw great success.
Recently I've been reading other members' blog posts about wanting to create content more often. We all know that content creation is one of the best ways to get traffic and better rankings. However, life gets in the way sometimes and procrastination seems a lot easier. I've been wanting to blog more frequently and I realized that I function better when I have a "to do list". There's just something about checking off those boxes when a task is complete.. makes me feel like I'm accomplishing so
I have a camping/survival website (http://thetexascampinggirl.com) and I have reviewed many products throughout the years. Most of them were products I already owned. But I decided to take a chance and reach out to some of my affiliates and ask them for products or samples that they could send for me to review. My thought process was simply, they can't say yes or no unless I ask, right? So I wrote up an email and sent it out to several of my affiliates... Blender Bottle, Keen Footwear, Patr
My appreciation for being able to work from home is extremely high right now, as my city literally has shut down due to flooding. Yes, I live in Houston... and I've been stuck at home for the last 3 days... but thanks to WA and the online business I've been able to create, I haven't missed 1 day of "Work." Many of my neighbors and friends haven't been able to drive to work and in fact were told NOT to drive anywhere on Monday. As a result many of them are losing pay as each day goes by. I am
This weekend my husband is working in San Antonio, so last night I traveled 3 hours from Houston to spend some time with him. While he's finishing up a job this morning, I decided to make some hotel coffee and work on my blog. I may be on a weekend vacation but when I get motivated and inspired, I work on my business. My inspiration this weekend is the beautiful weather and stunning views out of my hotel window of the Alamo. Anyone who knows me, knows my love for all things Texas! Heck, I nam
There is nothing better than waking up in the morning and being able to walk a few steps to my laptop and already be "at work". Since starting WA a few years ago, I've been able to quit my job and work from the privacy of my own home. I live in the 4th largest city in the US and traffic is a bear... but I don't have to worry about that at all. Having the freedom to do what I want, when I want is truly incredible. Of course, I choose to put in the hard work everyday in order to continue to l
I originally said that 2015 was going to be my year to reach what I consider success (or at least growth) within Wealthy Affiliate. I define success as not only making money but more importantly creating and accomplishing certain goals that will better me as an affiliate and as a person. We are now 3 months into 2015 and I know I need a huge kick in the rear to get going. So here it is... the KICK: Goal 1 - Post at least once every day to one of my website blogs. Goal 2 - Spend at least half
Well, after almost a year I finally got my first sale of product from one of my websites. I'm so excited and motivated even more now! I was beginning to get pretty discouraged, but I knew if I just kept up the hard work that I would finally see some payoff. I still haven't converted/referred anyone to WA, but hopefully that will come in time too. Not giving up hope just yet! For all of you that are struggling and wondering if you will ever see even the smallest amount of money come across your
