My Facebook PPC Experience

Good day folks!

I have been busy lately trying to integrate an Email Marketing campaign. There are some roadblocks that I want to share and might be beneficial for those who are ready to jump into Facebook PPC.

The Plan

The purpose is quite simple. I want to give away a FREE Ebook for the prospects. And hope that they will convert after reading the content. It really sounds simple, but a lot of work to do..

The Tasks Breakdown

As you might already know that Email Marketing consists of 3 major things:

1. Lead Magnet (giving away FREE stuff or discounts in exchange of email address)

2. Squeeze Page (to squeeze the visitors in doing specific action. In this case giving up their email addresses for the Lead Magnet)

3. Autoresponder (to automate a series of emails to the person who opted in from the squeeze page) - Build relationship + recommending products that solve their problems. Which leads to long term $$$.

Here what I have done for the Lead Magnet.

• Creating a FREE Ebook inside Ms.word. I made it to 20 pages + affiliate link at the end.
• Convert this into PDF file. I use smallpdf.com, then upload it to wordpress Media Library and get the URL.
• Buy a nice and irresistible cover template $5 (still thinking..)

As for the Squeeze Page, man.. it took me 2 days to do research. I couldn't find a single free solution for this. It turns out that the Autoresponder service I use have a nice looking squeeze page. COOL!

• I create a squeeze page.
• Try a catchy headline that targets pain and solution to it.
• A/B Split Testing? Nah, I'm still in FREE version.

For the Autoresponder, I was confused whether to choose Aweber VS GetResponse. But ultimately I picked GetResponse. (Sssstt..don't debate on that)

• Start creating my follow up emails by using the Autoresponder. I have unlimited questions to ask. But found the tutorial is helpful..
• Day 1 - 5 => pure content and education
• Day 6 - 8 => promote affiliate link based on the content given in day 1 - 5
• Then build relationship through content once a week.

Tips: You will always have a story to tell throughout the day. Tell your subscribers about that. They are your new friend now. So no more excuse to what to write or lacking of an idea.

The System IS DONE..

Now left getting eyeballs into the squeeze page. Well, the best way to go about this is through Facebook Ads. Reason: Because I want to target a specific age group and interest.

Warning: Facebook is very strict. They don't allow work from home opportunity. So be careful with your Ads text. Make sure to read the policy or else your account might get shut down. (apply to any niche too)

You can't also make bald claim for example. Lose 10 Pounds Today! It would be much better like this => Lose 10 Pounds in six month.

I am confident that my offer would be fine. However, my ads get disapproved multiple times. I was then contacted the ads manager why they did it because I am just giving away a FREE ebook! o_0

Long story short.. They apologize and approved my ads.

The Sad Part

I spent $15 for two days and get 114 clicks to my squeeze page. So on average I get $0.13 per click. I also get 6 likes out of the blue on the Ads. Wow that's good. Hitting two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, I had zero - 0% Opt-in. WHAT?

The number 3 is actually me testing the Squeeze Page with 3 different email addresses. This is terrible.. But it doesn't stop me! I would learn more and harder to improve everything and strengthen the overall system.

Anyway, it is just my experience in starting Facebook Ads. There are of course many data need to be tracked in order to scale or terminate the campaign. Yeah, will definitely update this post going forward.
