You Can't Boost A Facebook Post If Your Whatsapp Account Is Not Linked - Bummer!
I created a new post on Facebook to promote the new branding series on Wealthy Affiliate. At that time my Facebook Business site was linked to my WhatsApp account. For those who do not know, Facebook owns WhatsApp.
After I boosted my post I checked it out using my incognito browser. To my surprise, instead of showing my Facebook post, the browser showed my WhatsApp account. I didn't want that at all. So I disconnected the link between my Facebook and WhatsApp account.
Surprise!
When I checked my boosted post, I was mortified to see zero engagement. That is when I discovered that Facebook would not boost my post unless my WhatsApp account was linked.
Has anyone else had this experience? If I can find a way to link the two, but not have those who click my WA affiliate link land on my WhatsApp site, that would be fine. If anyone has any idea how this can be done if at all, that would be great.
I didn't place this in the Questions area because I knew this was going to be a long post.
You live and learn every day. So much for Facebook.
Cheers.
Edwin

Hi Jim, someone gave me a link to do that. I'm not rushing to fix that though. It can wait.
Cheers.

I hope you get things sorted out, Edwin! I know that I will start having to use my Fakebook, but I would really prefer another alternative, because a lot of Social Media platforms these days have turned far left and are essentially now in the gutter, IMHO.
Hopef ully things will work out in the end, my friend!

Thanks, Brad, and that gutter on either side is wider than the main thoroughfare, IMHO!

Hi Jeff,
Someone gave me a link to sort that out. Thanks for your comment about FB. It is like someone you can't live with as well as can't live without it because they make it easy to target the audience you want.
Cheers.

Hey, Edwin! I completely agree with your assessment, my friend, I just don't have to like it though! 🙄
Cheers!

I don’t like those unpleasant SURPRISE moments.
There’s so many cogs in the Internet machine, that something is always going wonky.
Keep It Super Simple
Hi Brad,
I have been boosting my posts on Facebook for years with no problems. Someone gave me a link to sort this out that I shall be checking out. But I am not rushing.
Cheers.
