I wrote an article for my website in mid-February 2022 on how to find sales leads online automatically using a product I was reviewing. We are taught that when using Jaaxy, the following metrics should be used:

Average # of Searches a month, greater or equal to 100

Trafic, as high as you can get it

QSR should be less than 100, less than 50 would be even better

KQI should show green, meaning GREAT!

SEO would be as high as possible, preferable 90 or over

The keyword I entered into Jaaxy was the following:

How To Find Sales Leads Online Automatically

Jaaxy Results

Here are the results of the top 10 list on Jaaxy:

Notice that the keyword I wanted to use did not meet the metrics we are taught. But there were several others that not only did but exceeded the metrics. The two that caught my attention were:

Candidates I Considered

How To Find Sales Leads Online that had a fantastic Avg search number of 359 followed by a decent traffic count of 62 and an SEO of 91.

Find Sales Leads Online with 359, 62, 35, and 96 respectively.

Which one should I select? What one would you have selected?

I selected the second one mainly because it had a higher SEO score of 96 compared to 91.

Here is where I stacked the deck in my favor. The Title I came up with was the following:

Article Title

How To Find Sales Leads Online Automatically

I wrote and published this article on February 19, 2022. As I am writing this it is May 2, 2022. I'd like to share the actual rank results I got in the search engines for the following:

Using: Find Sales Leads Online

This yields an epic fail. I confirmed it using the actual search engines. My next move was to use the title, but exclude the word "automatically"

Use: How To Find Sales Leads Online

Another epic fail. I decided to use the complete title to see what happens. Remember, that when I used the complete title in Jaaxy, the results given were poor.

How To Find Sales Leads Online Automatically

Note that this result shows the #1 slots on Bing and Yahoo and #8 on Google. However, I went to Google itself and got a different result. shown after the Jaaxy result.

Note that Google shows it listed as #6.

Conclusion: What Does This All Mean?

This is only my opinion based on my experience.

Firstly, if the title you would like to use for your post is what you think a searcher will use, do not discard it. Even if the research tells you it sucks.

Secondly, make sure you have embedded the keyword Jaaxy recommends within the search phrase that a user will use.

Thirdly, use the keyword recommended by Jaaxy as the URL slug instead of the title.

In this way, you can increase your chances of appearing high in the search engines.

My post is about 10 weeks old. And it now ranks #1 on Bing and Yahoo and #6 on Google, SInce I didn't check these results until now, I have no idea when these ranks were in effect.

There is one more point I wish to make. Since my article was written to review a specific product, I didn't mention it in words. But you can see it in the title,

When that complete title is used to find rank, it comes up #1 in Google, Bing, and Yahoo as shown below in Jaaxy. Hence, if someone was searching for a review of this product, the chances are they would find my post.

The amazing thing is it would also appear on the first pages of the search engines even if someone was not looking for a review of this product but entered the more general search term.

In case you are curious, when I used the complete title in Jaaxy it also rendered poor results. But it faired much better when used to determine rank.

By now you should know that any post can rank for multiple keywords that are relevant to the article written.

A fantastic read Edwin! We all know by now that Google works... well as Google wants to work!

But as long as we keep on answering the questions our audiences are seeking to best of our abilities and better than our competitors do, then the high rankings will eventually follow..

Have a great day my friend! :-)

Interesting to know this, Edwin.

Google can sometimes be "picky."

Myra

Hello Myra,

Picky is the operative word ha! Thanks for commenting.

Edwin

Wow, Edwin! Very well done! I am sometimes leery about this, because Google can be a fickle beast and with one algoritm change, it can wipe out loads of progress in one fell swoop!

Keep succeeding!

Jeff

Hello Jeff,

Your observation about Google is spot on. The best way is to get armed with the best skills we can and write our blog posts to provide great solutions to our visitors. And not worry too much about other things.

Cheers.

Edwin

I will totally agree with your assessment, Edwin, and it definitely seems to be working for you!

Enjoy your Monday!
