New Domain Purchased With Cash From Site Comments
Although I have had a YouTube Channel called netzoomer since 2006, I have not bought a Domain with that name. I tried to do that today. The .com was not available. Although the .org and .net are, I prefer to have a domain with a .com.
Since I want to introduce my subscribers to Affiliate Marketing, I looked to see if netzoomeraffiiate would be available.
IT WAS!
So I bought it immediately using cash from my Site Comment earnings. I'd like to show you the header of my YouTube channel and you will see why I am interested in pursuing this option.
My YouTube Channel
However, I am very realistic that only a small percentage of these subscribers will have any interest in this subject since the main reason they subscribed was for the music.
But music can be an Affiliate topic. There is so many niches in this area. My challenge will be to use my channel to motivate others to learn about online marketing. This is going to be a long term effort.
Since I am focused on the Super Affiliate Challenge, this project will be put into a place holder for pursuing later.
Long Term Goals
My goal is to make videos on various aspects of Affiliate Marketing and post them on my YouTube channel. This may seem strange at first. But my subscribers are getting older and evolving to young adults. Their music tastes will have changed too.
I do not plan to keep attending shows of young artists, videoing them and posting these on my YouTube Channel as much as I used to. That was a service I provided to the fans of the young artists who were not able to attend the concerts. I earned some money out of that from Ad Sense.
It was through the training at Wealthy Affiliate that I discovered I had money waiting for me. I had to verify my account and attach a payment option to get paid. Which I did. I wrote about this in a prior Blog.
Let's see if I can persuade my subscribers to learn how to make money online with very little cost involved. I will provide the option of Affiliate Marketing. But they could use the skills they will develop for anything in connection with the Internet.
The description of the site will have to change. It is going to be an interesting endeavor to say the least.
Alternate Long Term Objective
Since I am building two websites in connection with Affiliate Marketing, one on my niches and the other to promote Wealthy Affiliate, I could create videos to help with those pursuits. as well.

I cannot get ahead of myself. First I must succeed in building traffic to my two websites. As audience grows, it would be effective to use not only writing, but also videos, to share my message.
Advice, Opinions, Critique!
I am open to any of these in regard to my plan to re purpose my YouTube Chancel.
Do you think this is a good idea or a bad one?
Am I going about this in a way that will give me a fighting chance for success?
I am writing this Blog before having gone through the several YouTube Webinars that Jay recently gave. I shall be doing that in due course and will use the lessons I will learn from them. Currently, my priority is not high because of the SAC. Should it be?

General consensus seems to be that YouTube is certainly the way to go. Promoting between multiple platforms seems to be an advantageous way of pushing our posts up the rankings. Creating content across more than outlet works for me.

Congrats on both the purchase of the domain and its acquisition funded by site comments money.
YouTube is, as will videos in general too, a major player in Google searches and it can impact the decision by the average online Google searching person as to product and services he/she seeks out.
The major problem YouTube, as well as other major social media, is they are tyrants and there isn't much the average marketer can do in the event of a suspension or account termination.
I had that happen twice to me, albeit I only had a few and short (less than 30 seconds each) videos promoting WA via my site.
You can surely start a new account but what about the potential loss of followers? While a new channel and reloading the videos are not complicated they are useless without viewers.
MHO is that these platforms will soon start being regulated and the consumers will have additional ways of filing complaints and to prevent outright tyranny by the socials.
I do have a very good unused WA promoting domain name - wealthyaffiliatecenter dot com - and I had thought someone who was in the SAC would be interested in purchasing it but I have not heard from anyone.
The beauty of that domain name is that it will still be valid and relevant for years to come and maybe then someone will see its value.

I think that YouTube is an excellent marketing platform. I have been playing with ideas myself on how to best utilize it for my niches.

No worries. I know how it is to be busy. If you are like me, you keep a lot on your plate and it's sometimes hard to keep track of everything.
I think its a good idea. You tube has evolved into a place where people Go to learn as much about a topic as they do to listen to music. Years ago before it took off i used to have my own channel there and did a short video everyday. Best. Of luck wkth your idea

This is true as I went to YouTube to fix my computer since I didn't have computer fixin money and I suggested YouTube to someone that was interested in learning how to play the piano. YouTube is something I will look into utilizing when I get to that stage.
