I Am So Happy To See Others Get Great Pinterest Results - Can I Do That Too?

Today I created a new Pinterest Board for my Think and Grow Rich book study. I created blogs on 4 chapters and paused to create corresponding 4 Pinterest Pins.

My goal is to help others who have not read this book to do so. And also to check out my website posts on each chapter. If this action results in more monthly views that would be wonderful.

Give and Take

Each of these website posts have affiliate links back to my blog posts on Wealthy Affiliate. If those who find my pins on Pinterest connect with Wealthy Affiliate and sign up as starter members, that would be icing on the cake.

Pinterest has been a struggle for me. Perhaps the reason was I had not given it the attention it deserved. After I created it and filled it with pins, both mine and others, I didn't go back often enough to show activity.

My resolve now is to leverage my time by creating several pins at one time when I go to Canva. I have many posts with no pins created. Hence, I have the opportunity to get active and pin away. When I do that I shall be monitoring activity to see what the results are.

The Pinning Game

If my memory served me right, Jay's webinar on Pinterest encouraged members to check out pins from other people in my niche and select pins from them to pin on my board. In this way they will be notified and be encouraged to select my pins for pinning too.

Recently I got messages from three people who are following me. Does that also mean they have selected my pins to pin on their boards?

I am not sure how to connect with others so that they will do the same with me. If you can comment how I should go about doing this that would be awesome.

Thanks!

Edwin

I was always the kid who wasted all his time making a beautiful heading but ran out of time to write any content.

So with Pinterest I'm like the proverbial pig.

It's an easy quick way to draw attention to your latest creation.

My monthly impressions went from 20 to 60 to over 300, in 3 months.
Garry.

I haven't spent any money on promotions, but I now make 4 or 5 pins a day.
You can build a graphically based brand by having the same little details in every pin. Logo etc.
I hope this helps.

Garry.

Thanks for your helpful comments Garry. When I first started pinning I was very haphazard. Since then I have used a common theme on my featured image for my website articles and I use a vertical variant of that for pinning on Pinterest.

For my Think and Grow Rich series I use the same background showing the foyer of a big mansion.

I'm going to attach two pictures to give you an idea. Can you tell me is this what you meant by creating a brand through graphics?

Thanks.

Edwin

Think back to an inviting magazine cover. Lay it out like that.
I didn't like that one with the green.
Here's one I'm blessed with.

Garry
Ithink they're OK, I'm getting better. I hope.

I truly appreciate the tips you're giving me. I'll work on improving my pins. Magazine Cover is a good approach.

Thanks.

Edwin

Hi Edwin ,
This might help you understand it better: Here you can add your Pinterest Profile : And of course you can add it to your profile here at WA too, so people can find it there as well.
All the best,
Luc

Thanks for the tips Luc. I will be following up on these.

Cheers.

Edwin

Many have success with Pinterest- Hope it works for you, too!

Have a great day-
Diane

Thanks for your encouragement Diane.

First, I want to tell you. Good luck! Pinterest is a fantastic place to grow free traffic. However, best practices for Pinterest are to have a business account. From there, you have to include your logo and claim your website (connect it), which will improve your pins by making them rich pins.

Now the next step for you is to write the business name and some info (I suggest you add keywords inside these two sections), Now the next step is to create boards related to your niche and make sure to begin from broad niche and then niche down regarding boards that mean you create a board that is for Pets then a board for Dogs then board for Dog Hacks, etc...

Also make sure you write keywords for example if you create a board that is Dogs Eat Their Tails that would be useless as no one actually searches for that, so find a keyword and added to your board name, the same goes for the description as you have to write a description for each board and it must contain keywords.

The next step is to add at least 30-50 boards that are related to your niche. Next, you must pin daily or at least three days a week, and you must pin anywhere between 15-25 pins. Before, it was for the best to pin 80% from others and 20% fresh pins from your website. Now, Pinterest encouraged everyone to pin more fresh pins from our website as the algo is changing, so it is suggested to pin 50%-50%.

Be careful from the following:
1. Don't add more than 30 pins a day as it will trigger spam alert.
2. Don't join group boards you don't trust and with people pining random pins as it will harm your traffic and mark your account.
3. Don't follow many people as it will trigger a spam alert
4. The "following" system on Pinterest is useless and worthless so avoid it, people will follow you eventually when they start to see your pins.
5. Make sure to add keywords everywhere on Pinterest. I mean EVERYWHERE.
6. Pinterest hates affiliate links so much and it can lead to a website block so don't add direct affiliate links. Unless you submitted the for with amazon the correct way.
7. Don't pin all the 15-25 pins at the same time every day as it will mark you as spam. Rather, pin them separately during the day.
8. Repining is tricky, you have to check the pin and the link if they are relevant and not a spam or stolen pin to avoid troubles.

Thanks for taking the time for this detailed message. So far I have done everything like you recommended except for one thing. I do not pin often enough.

My pins are a mix of links to posts on my website and a=posts and lessons on Wealthy Affiliate using the affiliate links provided. In Bootcamp Kyle recommended doing this. So far so good.

I will be careful about who I follow and repin.

One of the things I will be doing is to watch Jay's webinar on Pinterest again.

Cheers.

You can do it Edwin. I had it for years without doing much with my first business page.I pinned stuff of mine and other peoples but didn't spend time on there, it was all at a distance.
Mainly because I just didn't 'get' it.
I don't look for people to follow, I just follow back when people follow me, so can't help with that one Edwin, sorry.
Analytics on there can tell you more about the numbers side.
Good luck.

Thanks for your encouragement Linda,

Cheers.
