What does having a dream mean to you? I don't mean the dream you get from sleeping. What would you like the ultimate achievement in your life to be?

I was watching the finale of the World of Dance last Sunday. The competitors are divided into four divisions.

1. Junior (17 years and under; 1-4 dancers);
2. Junior Team (17 years and under; 5-15 dancers)
3. Upper (18 years and older; 1-4 dancers)
4. Upper Team (18 years and older; 5-15 dancersWhen

When they say under 17, there is no lower age limit. Initially they compete to find the winners in each division. In the finale, they all compete against each other. The standard of dancing is out of this world, any division can win. In the Junior Team it was strange to watch a team of 15 to 17 year old dancers compete with 8 to 9 year olds. The younger team won.

Why Dancing?

I learned many lessons throughout this years World of Dance competition that I can apply directly to the business we are in. It is amazing how we can learn lessons from seemingly unrelated disciplines that can be universally used. I felt the Dreams and Aspirations very powerfully among these young dancers.

Dream Big

Derek Hough, one of the judges told the dancers to dream so big that their dream was unattainable. His statement resonated with me very strongly. Derek by the way came to National fame as one of the Pro Dancers in Dancing With The Stars. His sister, Julianne, was also one of the Pro Dancers.

Both of them must have had big dreams. They progressed way beyond Dancing With The Stars in their professional lives. I am sure they haven't reached their dreams yet.

What do the words dream so big that it is unattainable mean? You have probably heard it said, aim for the stars and you will land on the moon.

If you have a goal, do not aim just for that specific goal. Your aim should be far greater. That will improve the probability of achieving your goal.

Never Ever Give Up

I have seen so many examples of dancers who never gave up. When an amazing dancer or team fails to make it to the next level, the judges encourage them not to give up and to return.

Many do. Let me give you an example. Three years ago, a Junior Division team, who were then only 9 to 12, lost in the Division Final. They were encouraged to return. They did return last year.

Can you guess what happened? They won The World Of Dance Finals and walked away with the One Million Dollar prize money!

Even this year there were several returning dancers. They didn't win as there can be only one winner. But they ranked much higher than their previous attempts. They were winners in life for not giving up.

This year The Upper Division Team won. This group of dancers was from Mumbai, India. They had to live through many hardships to compete. As you might expect, their parents sacrificed a lot for them. They were prior winners of an Indian Dance competition.

You should have seen their determination. It was obvious that this team wanted to win more than any of their competitors. One of their team members had hurt his foot so badly in practice. Yet he competed. After their event was over, he was obviously in great pain. This dancer never gave up.

Lessons Learned

Dreaming Big and Never giving Up are closely linked. One of the pre-requisites of Dreaming Big is to Never Give Up.

You got to be in the game to stand any chance of winning,

In Affiliate Marketing we have it easy compared to these dancers. We do not compete with others. We only compete with ourselves. In our business all of us can be winners. As long as we stay in the game and never give up.

We MUST take whatever time is necessary! Some will achieve their goals sooner than others. Never compare your progress to anyone else.

The Formula

The formula for success in Wealthy Affiliate is really quite simple. But not easy!

1. Do all the training, and then some, and complete the tasks
2. Take as long as neccessary
3. Write a lot of wonderful articles in your websites
4. Build traffic
5. When your traffic is substantial, study the behavior of your visitors
6. Keep testing and tweaking till you make more and more money
7. Set your dream so high that you are always striving to reach it
