100 Days As Ambassador - Does It Matter?
Finally, the day arrived. 100 days as a Wealthy Affiliate Ambassador! Actually it was two days ago. The occasion was not in the front my mind. Instead, I was preoccupied trying to sort out a problem on my computer of my own making.
I tried to free up internal memory and accidently deleted a couple of .ini files.You know those files necessary for system functioning?
Broken Computer
BAD MOVE! Horrors of horrors, I lost all the stuff I had on my desktop. Worse Yet, I couldn't access the folders I needed. No browser. Nothing. Couldn't even make the Windows icon on the bottom left switch off the computer.
My biggest worry was how could I work on my affiliate marketing website? What did I do?
NOTHING!
Don't we experience analogous situations like this in real life? We are trained to make continuous improvements in our business. As long as all goes well we feel confident and ready to take on new challenges.
Suddenly we discover that one of our well-intentioned moves torpedoes our efforts. Things that worked before stop. We try to fix the situation but it only gets worse.
We throw up our hands in despair and wonder what to do. It's not always possible to find somebody else to fix our bad situation.
Take A Break
Perhaps the Universe is sending us a message to take a break. We've been working so hard and buried in our business activities we loose sight of the big picture.
Our brains are amazing entities but also needs a break. Actually a change of scenery.
Do something else that you love to do. Spend more time with the family. You'll know when it's OK to return to your business. How? The Universe will tell you.
May I suggest doing what I did to provide a temporary resolution to my computer problem.
I finally returned to my computer and turned it on.
One of my options was to do a clean install of Windows. Then I got a life saver. The Google Chrome browser reappeared. Yay! at the very least I could go online and access Wealthy Affiliate.
Eventually I'll need to overcome this temporary fix. But heck, I do have more memory now. Hence, not all bad.
New Perspective
While you're taking a break from your business its amazing how we look at a situation in a new perspective when we return to face the problem, Suddenly we see a path forward that we sear didn't exist before.
This may not be the most optimum fix. At least it will be good enough to keep moving forward until we can implement a permanent fix at a convenient break.
It is amazing how much we can do with so little when the chips are down and we have to make progress.

OK 100 Days, WooHoo! Big Deal. Is it really? To me it is and this is why. I have proven to myself that I can be a worthy Ambassador and will continue to act like one, even when I descend to the ranks below 25. Knowing I had my 100 Days + in the stratosphere is good enough for me.
During the past 10 days I have written 3 new articles for my website and updated a couple of old ones. Including my Wealthy Affiliate Review post.
I have also been able to help others with things I am just learning about, like Pinterest. This is my second year in Wealthy Affiliate. My original goal was to make this year count regarding generating income. And at the end of this year I want it to be significant.
There is no magic to make this happen.
My 10 Point Plan:
- Write more reviews, comparisons and "how to" posts, with a bias on reviews.
- Learn how to and implement Social Media to drive traffic to my website
- Learn how to and implement an Email harvesting and marketing program
- Compete the Affiliate Bootcamp training
- Review the websites of successful affiliate marketers to learn practices that work
- Give and request Site Comments and Feedback
- Continue to help those who request it, as long as I can do it well
- Monitor my results in Analytics and Search Console weekly and keep track of progress
- Continue to modify old posts to implement good practices I learn about
- Correct errors and update my original LegalShield Website
Notice how I am going to wait till my affiliate marketing website, namely signing up WA referrals is getting good results first before I return to my original website? LegalShield isn't going away. And it makes sense to first learn now to build traffic BEFORE spending money on the business side of that business.
There you have it. Time to move forward! If you have any suggestions that will make my efforts more effective please let me know.
Anyone who is striving to be an Ambassador please continue to do so. It is an amazing honor indeed and well worth the experience.
This doesn't mean I am going to stop posting blogs here. They will be less frequent but I hope more meaningful.

Sorry to hear about computer problems. My husband just had to say goodbye to his old one.
