What are we doing?

I think about when I first came across Wealthy Affiliate. I had been playing with another group called Niche Profit Platform. They were pretty cool. You could get a complete niche site setup every month. The lessons were great. However, Sometimes it was hard to make the lessons tie in together. I felt like there were missing pieces. They had some templates for building landing pages etc.

Then I came across Wealthy Affiliate. Every morning I wake up and the first question on my mind is, "What am I doing?" I have to remind myself every day that even though my google rankings aren't there yet, every little thing I do to my site is leading up to something important. Some days, I feel like all I do is study and read up on other peoples writings. Studying what others have to say helps you to learn more about your niche.

As new people just joining, I know that this place is like knowledge overload! That is why we say to start on the Green Get Started Here area. If you are more of a social person you can post questions and other things. Usually there is a spot reserved in each lesson.

Concentrate on the basics. You will be seeing advanced content all the time, but you want to concentrate on the more basic as you are just starting out. As your site progresses and you understand more, then you start looking at the more advanced training.

There is so much training, I feel like I will never get through it all. I am not an expert in Affiliate Marketing by any means. I am going to start a journal of my journey through my internet travels. My successes and failures. You will have ups and downs. Some things will work perfectly and others will fail miserably. The key is how you react to the failure. You can throw your hands up and give up, or you can dig in and determine why you failed and build a work around.

When I hit about 30 articles, I got the 'I don't feel like writing'. We know content is important and somehow you have to be able to get past that feeling of is my site really working and continue to add content to our site.

You are at a teeter totter. You choose to walk away now, you will never know if you can make it. If you continue, you have the chance of building up your site more and seeing what happens. It will happen! It just won't happen when we want it to. The more we want it to, the slower it is going to take. Sorta like watching a boiling pot of water.

Continue what you are doing. It will work. With the aide of your lessons, complete them fully and understand them. If you fail, get up, dust off and keep going!

What are we doing? We are building our own businesses one brick at a time. How long it takes doesn't matter. What matters is we build a solid foundation to grow on!
