The million dollar schedule.

I had too much vacation for the year. Ready to get back to work.

It's time to work for a million dollars per year income.

But, how much time does it really take?

Most entrepreneurs I know are working over 100 hours a week, just so that they never have to work on a 40 hour week job.

To most people, that sounds crazy... right?

One of my mentors taught me that if I wanted to earn a million dollars a year, the minimum work time is 60 hours per week.

Minimum of 60.

This is NOT just saying I am working 60 hours staring at my screen, but precise and planned out work time.

So what do I call work time?

#1 - money making tasks. These are tasks that are going to bring a profit. Creating content, engaging with my clients for upsells and improving lead generation.

#2 - make sure I do number 1.

That's it!

When you have a clear plan of action to help you produce your desired outcome, you won't have time to waste.

I work on my business 6 days a week and still have time for meditation, exercise, family and learning.

What's your week look like?

Hi Eddie,
Great post! Great thoughts! We all have to "Pay the price of success"! Keep up the good work!
Michael Inman

thanks Michael.

Eddie, Good question. I haven't figured it out yet. But its true you do have to put the work in otherwise business wont grow.

It most certainly does require work time to grow the business. Don't worry if you haven't figured it out yet. What you do is decide on a daily amount of hours to do only money making tasks and grow the business. Make sure is uninterrupted time.

My goal is to post 3 WA articles per week, and 2 of my niche articles per week. My time to do this is somewhere around 30 hours per week as I have to work a "real" job for 40 hours, commute for 10 hours per week, and try to keep a household going, ,plus eat and sleep the rest of the time.

People ask me what I do in my spare time....I say, laundry and dishes. hahahaha

:) Yep... you've got a lot on your plate. It's outstanding that you're still committed to getting the articles done. Make sure you keep working at only the money making tasks. You will definitely achieve your goals.

Yes, content, content, content. That's my focus.

Hi there Eddie, thanks for this advice.

I do my best to work as much as possible. With a busy mom life, my work week is sporadic. Some days I get 10 hours, some I get 4 hours.
I look forward to the years ahead since I will slowly gain more free time :)

I like this post as it gives me a perspective on what time schedule is good to shoot for.
I think I need a chess clock, one where I can start and stop it at random but can log in hours 😁

I know what you mean. My girls and wife keep me busy. I initially felt being pulled all over the place. My wife needing a hug, my girls wanting to play and still need to handle the daily stuff of the house.

So, I decided to change that by sleeping a bit less and giving 100% of my schedule time to hugs, kisses, game time and still have a full day of fun with my family.

It's not perfect by any means, but it makes me feel accomplished when it works.

My schedule starts at 4:30am and ends at 7pm. some breaks in between. I've recently had to add a "do not enter" sign on my office door so that I have full focus on working my plan.

Do what you can but always remember to make the most of your time.

I am working 6 full days a week as well. Sunday is my day with family. It will be more than worth it.

To Your Success!

Mel

That's awesome! it's worth it.
