Letting Go of The Distractions
Hello everybody!
I am back after taking a some time to finish a special project. This project was started about a month ago and it helped me understand the importance of letting things go.
I am one of those entrepereneurs who does not like to unplug completely from the virtual world. Running an online business and helping clients is something I enjoy. But there are times when I must unplug to super-exceed my goals.
The biggest distraction in my life was social media, especially Facebook.
Has this ever happened to you?
You go on facebook to look for something but find yourself hours later scrolling through the post feed.
I've done that myself and I realized that it was a huge distraction for my life.
So I decided to cut social media out and only use it when I need to do advertising or follow up with leads with messenger.
Here's what I've learned.
We have to be careful as entrepreneurs not to get so caught up on doing unnecessary things. We may think that we're doing something productive but in reality it's a waste of time.
The ultimate goal that we have as business owners is to run the business so that we can live the life we want. We want to run the business that gives us freedom to do what we want.
Instead we end up having our business running us. Know what I mean?
It will be hard to let go of a lot of things for me but in the end it's all worth it because it removes the extra stress and it creates more time for the things that I love to do.
The extra good news out of this... I completed the project and now back to run my business.
So, what do you think about letting go of the distraction in your life?

yes, I agree with you and I've also set measures in place to help me stay away from distractions. One of them is I've turned off notifications on all my apps. I keep only the phone and text from favorites turned on.

Focus may be the hardest quality to maintain in the online world. So many distractions.
