Good free traffic source!
I have recently discovered Quora. It is a social site that is a community of people asking questions, and others providing answers to questions, or both.
Quora is built by people like you who write answers to share their knowledge.
You can read millions of fascinating answers about every subject.
You simply tell Quora about your areas of interest and/or expertise, and they will allow you to help others by answering questions about these areas.
You can also ask questions about any subject.
What is great, is you can leave the url of your website at the bottom of your answer.
This can bring you hundreds, or thousands of views, and many will click on the url of your site, and give you free traffic.
You can't leave an affiliate link though, or it will be rejected, only the url to a website.
I have had thousands of views to my answers, and as a result, have increased the traffic to my website, and individual posts.
It is a good feeling to help others by sharing knowledge of various subjects.
Give it a try. http://quora.com

Thanks for sharing this Tom.
One question - what is the perceived difference between the url of a website and the url of an affiliate link?
Thanks again
Terry
You're welcome Terry. Affiliate links contain certain characters, I believe it is the equal sign to differentiate them from a standard website url. Quora is trying to keep their site free from advertising, so it can stay as an information only site, would be my guess.
Yes, Quora is a really good place to start building your brand and authority in whatever niche you are involved in...I go there quite often....Thanks for sharing for all here, we can build up the presence of Wealthy Affiliate members! Cheers! Dave : )
Quora is great. There are ways to get targeted traffic from Quora and if done rightly has a bigger potential than social media.
