Updating My Profile
When I first created my member profile on WA, it was very brief. I am sure that I was not the only person to skip past this step in the training either. I think that most people will agree that writing a personal bio is quite like writing a resume - painful!
I outlined a little about me so that anybody reading would get a rough idea of my passions and be able to build an idea of who I am and what I stand for.
This was satifactory for the time being. However, WA is a social platform and you willl be making connections with the people you meet and expanding your network. These people are the future of your business success. You will get to know one another, learn from oneanother and support eachother on your journeys together.
Becuase of this, I feel it is a good idea to update your profile and share your life with the others that you meet. There is so much variety in the world and each persons individual experiences and perspectives are so different. It is always facinating to meet people and find out more about them, who they are and how they see the world.
People like to know who you are too; where you came from, your life experiences and to perhaps to see some pictures of your world and hear the story behind where you are today. What are you passions? What have you been working on recently? What makes you, well you?
I would reccomend updating your profile whenever you get the chance, so that you can make better connections with the people you meet. It doesn't matter if you think that you don't have much to write about because I can guarentee that people won't judge you in the way that you do - we are indeed our own worst critics. People will enjoy hearing your story.
I have had some interesting messages since the update and it has enabled me to connect further wilth people. One person was familiar with my home town and another asked me about my accent becuase they admire its authenticity. It is good to connect with people like this.

Your profile is amazing and very interesting, talk about a varied life.
You are correct about the profile question. I have communicated with people from all over the globe and there are quite a few people on here who I have a "real" mental picture of in terms of lifestyle, location and even personality.
I never thought that one of the plus sides of WA was this huge and interesting community.
My profile is a little over 6 months old and could probably do with a lick of paint!
