Music Is My Passion Niche!

After working on the "MAKE MONEY ONLINE" Niche for 3 years, I now have a very comfortable passive recurrent residual income!

As I promised myself when I started, once I reached $5K per month then I would allow myself to have a fun and not necessarily heavily monetized music-lovers website!

Disco Music Is My True Music Passion!

As a child born in 1961, the be-bop and motown and Elvis music shifted to the Rock-'n'-Roll era of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones!

In the early 1970's, music became all about the singer songwriters who were "clapping back" to the Viet Nam War. By the late 70's we needed joy!

The Disco Era Exploded.

Studio 54 in New York City!

Saturday Night Fever SuperStar Hits March 1979!

Journey...Headpins...Heart...Trooper...Donna Summer...Blondie...The Bee Jees...You Name Them...It Was Awesome!

So...Why Am I Blogging About My New Fun Favourite Music Niche Passion Website?

Because I'm having a riot creating it!

Because I listen to the music as I'm searching for and choosing all my favourites!

Because I requested Comments this morning...all of the 10 Comments are fun and joyful and happy to be reminded of this blast from the past!

So...Travel Back With Me In My Disco Dance Machine!

Please list your favourite song from 1979!

That is my Graduation Year from High School!

I am organizing my 40 Year Reunion and I am ecstatically happy in charge of the music!

It's going to be a 1979 "Blast From The Past" Disco Dance PArty with Liquid Nitrogen Smoke and all the Disco leather pants and sequin miniskirts and suede booties and wedge shoes etc etc etc!

Fun, fun, fun. Congrats for getting to the point of allowing yourself a fun website.

I loved the early 80's music. Blondie is my favorite on your list.

"One Way or Another"..... I think that was my favorite song of hers.
Yet, I see that was a 1978 song.

From 1979, Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" is a favorite. As was Charlie Daniels, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia."

Blondie's, "Heart of Glass" was good. Yet, it isn't quite as iconic as the other two.

The reunion should be fun.

Hi Sondra!

Wowza...I'm really enjoying people's comments and perspectives...music really does bond us and give us common ground and a feeling of mutual understanding and trust!

I absolutely love love love Blondie! Deborah Harry was a Rock Goddess! We all tried to look like her!

Yes, "One Way or Another" was / is my favourite too!

Also "Rapture"...did you know that Blondie's "Rapture" was the very FIRST SONG with a "rap"!

Aaaah...Pink Floyd was my very first date concert...the boy tried to kiss me...I was too shy! LOLOL!

"The Devil Went Down To Gerogia" .....classic! :-)

The Reunion will be epic because I will make it so!

You just gave me an idea....I think I'll make a Reunion Website for all of us to access! I don't like sharing all my secret plans on Facebook!

Barb from Chilly Canada

Barb, the reunion website sounds like a great idea. It is kind of amazing how music bonds people.

Wow.... what memories. Your first date concert. lol

For some reason, I wanted to look more like Olivia Newton John, in the last scene of Grease, rather than Deborah Harry. I must say, I never pulled it off. I was too skinny and my hair was just too darned thin. It is nice to be able to look back and laugh.

Yes, the reunion will be EPIC because you are going to make it so. You are getting people excited about it that are not even going.

Try to stay warm Barb.

Thank you Sondra for all of you engagement with me!

I got my Reunion Dot Com Domain registered here at WA since we last messaged here and I got the exact same GMAIL address so I am all set to get started!

I love organizing fun fun fun parties!

2 weeks before our June 30, 1979 Grad night, I organized an Alcohol-Free Toga Party at my parents home (they were fun likeable chaperones)!

The fun parts were:

- you had to wear a toga from a white bed sheet or you did not gain entry...the guys wrapped theirs around shorts and Tshirts mostly because they were shy...

- I organized a "Men's Best Legs" Contest where the guys paraded behind a row of sheets suspended across a 20 foot expanse and was raised to just above the knee so that we Toga Gals could judge their gams...we also had to guess the identity of the winner....if successful you would win a FREE Local Vendor Hawaiian Pizza Voucher that I begged for from our local Italian Family!

- it was fairly hot in Vancouver that year, maybe 28 degrees Celsius so I bought a whole bunch of 1 foot long frozen coloured "Freezie-Pops"! I got them because I love to eat them but what happened is that before they were opened and just out of the freezer, guys and gals would touch the frozen freezies in their wrapper onto people's exposed Toga skin...ie back of neck or upper shoulder or behind knee etc....this started a huge running around crushing on people....it was innocent but so fun!

- there was alot more....I chose all the best hits (just like now) and I organized the event all by myself....

I have found in my life that when I do all the work myself:
-noone can tell me what to do
-noone can complain
-noone can be mean
-it always turns out so much fun and even better than I could ever imagine!

Barb

PS We all know that I have all the help I need from above!

You are welcome. Congrats on getting the domain and gmail you wanted.

It sounds like you do a great job of organizing fun parties. You must have been an extrovert.....

I am glad that you are able to organize the reunion. The best thing is that people will remember your fun parties in the past, so they will try even harder to make it.

ps. I'm glad you acknowledge who is helping you. :) I would hate to try to function without Him.

Best wishes

Amen!

I wasn't even born at that time... lol... but thanks for sharing. I always had a passion for music too and I've learned a few things from your post.. :)

LOLOL! -I know that I totally outed-myself age-wise as an ancient dinosaur WA-er!

I know everyone seems to love their own era of teenage music!

I believe very strongly that our musical favourites are the TAPESTRY of our lives...weaving into our fondest and saddest and most romantic memories!

I am glad that you have learned some things from my post!

If you are willing to share, I am curious as to what those things might be so that I can continue sharing with everyone!

Barb

Awesome!

This is what work is all about! Nothing like having a job and truly just enjoying doing it. Good on you!

You're also talking my language. I am sure many of us love music but like yourself I also love Disco.

The days when stars like: Olivia Newton-John and John ravolta were popular, or movies like Grease and of course as you mentioned Saturday Night Fever.

Disco music is something we don't hear enough of today but fortunately in my home town there's band that plays fairly frequently in local clubs. This band is called "Disc Inferno". Great band as they all dress the part and play only disco music.

For me it is hard to pick one favorite disco song because there are way too many great ones. One that always offers me support through life challenges is, "I will survive".

Great niche!

Greg

Hi Greg!

It is so very refreshing to hear from a gentleman such as yourself who is confident to state their love of all things Disco!

Back in the 70' it was not OK to be:

"NERDY"

"HAPPY"

" A MALE WHO LIKES TO DANCE, ESPECIALLY TO DISCO MUSIC!

My local community in BC Canada has only 35,000 mostly retired residents in the winter.

This number expands with tourism (lakes & wineries etc) up to 70,000....but we are now down from 4 Clubs to 1!!!

I am now thinking that if all goes well during my 40th High School Graduation "Disco Dance Party" in June 2019, I will start my own -non-alcoholic" and perhaps "Pop-Up" Disco Dance PArties once per month with all the proceeds going to our local Hospital!

Tell me more about your Disco Band locally...do they get a good turnout?

Barb

Now that's what this business is all about - following your passion after the initial hard work.

Hi Lawrence!
Precisely!
Profits first then fun!

Sounds like you're having a lot of fun with your new website. How to be able to listen to music while you work!

Hi Holly!
I am thrilled and ecstatic and rejuvenaated!
I loved learning all about the Making Money Online Niche by Promoting WA Using the Bootcamp Training but all along I would think about my Music Website!
It is called Disco-Dance-Party and it is helping me organize for my 40th High School Reunion where I am organizing all of the music and entertainment! I cannot wait to see my old friends and dance the "Boogie" the night away!!!

Do you have a favourite Disco Song?

Barb
