WHY DO SOME SITES RANK MORE QUICKLY THAN OTHERS?
-domain age...the older the faster
-site age...the older the faster
-trust flow...
-frequency of content...once or twice per week...the more frequent - the faster
-volume of content
-content engagement...comments and discussions...ask for it at end blog
REALITY CHECK
-these techniques will not work with a brand new site but as you utilize the steps consistently the ranking will become faster
NEEDED
-content
-an image for the content - creates an "ALT TAG"
-a video to embed within the content
-get a google.com/webmasters account & get your google search console account
NOT NEEDED
-fancy ranking software
-automation tools
-impatience
THE 7 STEPS LIVE
1. Meta Title
2. Meta Description - shown in the SERPs - it attracts people from your competitors
3. Keyword in Content - once
4. Alt tag within an image
5. Internal links - a link from 1 page of your site to another page of your site
6. External links - a link away from your site to an external source
7. Video Embedded - it's ideal for every post
EXTRA STEPS
1. Post on Google+ - Google Searches Google - first and only - Google owns You Tube
- use your meta title and description and then comment
2. Fetch as Google - speeds up the ranking process - it's inside Google Webmaster tools
3. Resubmit Sitemap - don't have to do every time but it doesn't hurt
4. Request Comments in WA - Nathaniel wrote a great post for offering comments
QUESTIONS
1. Will this work on old posts - yes
2. Will it help with the rankings of old posts? - yes
3. Should this strategy be followed every time? - yes

I'm pleased to see you've included Keyword in content - once.
I got that from you a while back! Unfortunately, some are still emphasizing the use of keywords throughout content.
I have a 7 year old site and new posts rank in under 10 minutes. Due to the age of the site, there is nothing spectacular about that but mentioned it as it fits well with your training.

I really just did it for my own note-keeping but then decided to share as a post!
I was worried that it may seem like content duplication but I changed things up a little - it's primarily for people to scan if they don't have the hour to listen to the Webinar or just want to review the salient points!
Like taking lecture notes at University!!! LOL!

I think it is a brilliant idea, great info and gives us one toe in the water already with his webinars, both helps those who miss them and motivates us to go get more detail too. Thanks for the effort especially the extra mile in ensuring no content duplication!
