Keeping an Internet Marketing Journal

I have kept a physical journal that I've had for quite some time now that is dedicated to my internet marketing journey.

It is a composition book I bought for $1 and I've been jotting down notes about things I've tried, ideas for niche websites, and even notes from some of the live webinars here.

Looking back through some of my entries has helped me to realize how far I've come in terms of knowledge and experience.

Before finding Wealthy Affiliate, I was struggling to make things work. I'd start a website, then quit. I would get sidetracked by some new product or software I didn't need. I'd write down why it didn't work for me and move on to another idea.

I definitely notice a shift in my journal entries after becoming a member here. Some of my ideas still make me laugh but some are good enough that I may pursue them in the future.

I think keeping an internet marketing journal can be as effective as keeping a fitness journal. Tracking your progress keeps you on point to achieving your goals.

My favorite thing about keeping an actual physical journal is being able to quickly jot down random ideas. I also like flipping through to my past entries and noticing how far I've come.

Blogging here on Wealthy Affiliate is also helpful and I know that many members here use their blogs as a way of tracking progress. I greatly appreciate those posts as they are always encouraging and helpful.
