The Tarp!
THE TARP!
Floods, and bears, and tigers oh my!
Good am everyone! Before I got out of bed this am I said my Prayers and began my day.
That would include having my large mug of Java Joe. This girl has got to get her fix if ya know what I mean!
It’s still dark outside but rather loud with the pouring of rain. I mean pouring, with a news report of heavy rain thru Sunday.
Well I love the rain and all the beautiful effects and benefits of rain, yes I do.
However, rain pouring inside my office
Not so much!
So guess who gets to go out in the rain to place a tarp on the roof, which I have now in my mind upgraded to a monsoon since I am the one on the roof and holding for dear life? Me! Lol
I gotta tell ya things look way worse when your scared! Way worse!
But what choice did I have but to address this issue, it HAD to be done!
When I came in off the roof, I cleaned the office floor and then jumped in the shower, got dressed, now warm and toasty and drinking more Java.
Now is the roof repaired because I threw up a tarp?Hardly! Not even close!
Guys this leaking roof got me started thinking about what got me interested in checking out WA to begin with.
I began looking at my Why.Was I scared ?
You darn Skippy I was.
Much like roofing I knew nothing about having or building a lucrative business.
I also began thinking about that darn leaking roof. You see this isn’t the first time my roof has leaked. It happened last year, so I “patched “it .
I didn’t fix the problem I “patched”it knowing full well this was not the solution.
Much like my approach in the past with WA
(This is my doing NOT WA)
When I could /would work on our business I did.
If I did not choose to put in the much-needed work, you know I would throw a tarp on our business.
In my mind I was doing something !
Yes I sure was. I was prolonging what needed to be done.
I knew full well I needed a new roof just like I knew I needed to stop making excuses and work on our business even when I thought it was not a good time for me.
Guys building this business is not being about “when it’s a good time for me anymore”
It’s about it IS the time to build this business.
Right now!
We all have obligations and busy, busy life’s
But it IS the right time to build this business.
We hope this post inspires you and helps you remove “the tarp”
Will you share with us the tarp you need to remove ?
Thanks much in advance
May we all prosper and then some!

Good morning E & S! Yes it is very easy to get caught up in the "tarp" situation! But we have to set a schedule and stick to it!
Now some days may not be as easy as others to accomplish this becasue life can get in the way (and it will), but we just have to remove the tarp and keep going so that we can help our businesses to grow.
Hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend,
Donna:)

You are so so correct , thank you for your comment.
May we all prosper and then some.
Hey Scarlett and Elaine,
Ok let me guess, it was Elaine who put the tarp put. That really doesn't matter but it was just a guess.
Back to the tarp analogy or band-aid fix. I think it applies to me in so many areas but mostly fincianal. Living goverment paycheck to goverment paycheck isn't easy and not a sure thing.

Lol you are correct ,it was Elaine .
You know us well.
Re the darn tarp, thank goodness ,we at wa are all learning how to remove that tarp,to make money and be to blessed on top of our income from jobs and government checks .
We gotta keep going !
We appreciate you so much ,

Hey Scarlett and Elaine,
Lol sounds like around our house Elaine always gets most of the outside fix it jobs because my dad taught me many of them. Not to say that Scarlett can't but my sister's and I were all raised the same but Elaine was usually voted for the fix it jobs. I didn't mind though because I think now it made me who I am today!!

I think most of us have the "The Tarp" issue. Unless we're wired to be very organized and well disciplined. We tend to put things off when they get difficult. To be successful with WA, we need to take it seriously and make that commitment. Have a schedule and stick to it; no matter what. If we do this, we're bound to succeed.
Great story!
It's better to find a little moment to move forward
each day in our business and avoid excuses.
Without that, we would have to put a tarp on our
business and wait for better days to come, with a little
more time for us.
Unfortunately, nothing will progress in the meantime.
So let's move the tarp!!
Cheers!
Ingrid
I understand the Tarp method... while it has it's purpose, you still have to go back and repair the roof.
And so it is with our content. Patch jobs may get you through short term, long term? Not so much!

Hi Elaine & Scarlett!
So funny you have touched on this subject... I am making the final payment for my new roof next week!
My insurance covered a large portion but I was still responsible for the balance. And since we are having an especially wet winter with both rain and snow I’m very glad I had the work done.
Yet I still have a “tarp” on my WA business...must find a solution to that!
Thanks for a great post!

Congrats on making that final payment next week.
That is an exciting feeling indeed.
Thank you for your reply, now back to that tarp lol
