Stress is a choice!
Did you know stress doesn’t come from the outside but from the inside? We can actually reduce our stress by changing how we think.Yes we can!
Our mind is remarkable.It’s capable of storing more than 100 trillion thoughts.Fortunately we have the freedom to choose what we think about.
Yes,of course a song, an aroma, or watching the news may trigger a memory that was negative but we do have ability to change that channel mentally and physically .Replace it with a positive.Why wouldn’t we choose to immediately seek something positive?
Same thing is true when you are around people that begin to gossip or speak negatively. Remove your self from that line of negative junk .
Protect yourself and hopefully you can set an example for others to learn the importance of choosing and being positive and an inspiration to others.
We want to encourage us all to protect our mind and keep focused on the right things, the import things that do affect us.
The way you feel affects the way you act. Right ?
With the holidays fast approaching we hope we all enjoy, fellowship with our family and friends.
With the hustle and bustle of the holidays as well as the thoughts of holidays without the loved ones that have gone to Heaven we encourage us all to find the positive!
Focus on the beautiful memories as well as the new ones that are coming our way.

Cortisol also makes us guys store fat where we don't want it. Our belly. When being stressed over any situation, I thank God I have the absolute freedom to make a choice to change that unhealthy situation.

One of the things I will do when I get stressed mainly about money (or the lack of it) is to volunteer at a shelter. When I see someone with less than me then I realized I am blessed.
When I feel lonely missing a loved one then I volunteer at a nursing home. Their lives lift my spirits!!

My first line defense is usually just to remind myself not to sweat the small stuff. Most little irritants don't need to be a big battle and won't matter at all tomorrow or next week. They can pass over me without affecting me if I let them. If I cling to them, I just make myself more stressed and upset so I try not to do that. A few minutes of meditation can help with that or ground and center. When something larger goes wrong or my anxiety gets bad (which can make tiny things seem huge), I narrow my focus. What is the next little step? That usually doesn't seem near as stressful as the whole big picture.

Totally agree that stress is a choice... however, when you are totally ’stressed out’ and need this kind of advice and insight the most, you are not able to receive it or use it - because you are too stressed out. It’s a dangerous circle to be in.
Apart from sparing my body and brain from stress caused by bad food choices, I try to connect with my breath and then with my body when I start to feel stressed. Then I just ’let it pass’...
