Ouch! What did you say?
Oh my goodness how do I answer this question ?
My supervisor called me into her office first thing this morning with a stern voice and strong expression on her face.
Our office is small and many co-workers were in ear shot of our boss calling me to her office.
What had a done for our boss to come across so upset?
Well here it goes-
Our supervisor looked at me straight on and asked
āYou are such a leader where do you see your self with this company in a year from now?ā
Here is my reply to ā Ms. Bellā
Funny you should ask Ms. Bell. I will spare you the details. But to answer your question where do I see myself with this company in a year?
No longer employed here!
Boom !
Yes I did !
I explained, every day I wake up excited looking at my written goals, and pictures of my goals.
I read them aloud with zeal!
I am building, growing,my business with my friend Scarlett so we can be financially independent and help our family and friends reach their goals. Freedom in many areas including travel and having the life style that suits our desires!
To no longer having a boss. No longer having to ask when can I take a vacation or allowing anyone else to determine my worth !
In fact Ms. Bell I am firing you right now !
Yes I did !
0h how I had looked forward to this day!
OK, I must admit that is what I was saying on the inside.
However, I smiled and replied ā thank you for your confidence , I am working on specific goals and I will be able to give you a more definite plan within 6 months!
# gonna fire you ( of course that part was being said on the inside lol)
If you have a boss what would your reply be to that question?
Please share with us!

Great Attitude.
What I might say to my boss:
I appreciate the cooperation but my other activities taking so much time that I can not longer participate in this project (in 9-5).
maybe 10 years ago, I would just leave..
but now days (with mortgage and stuff) I play it safe.
meaning - my income from online business must reach the same level as I earn in 9-5.
Then I feel safe to leave..

Mike,
I so understand! Thank goodness we have WA to get us out of needing a boss !
We CAN do this !
Haha you had me going for a minute..thought you had finally made it to that. Though when that time does come i would still keep some of those parts in my head..lol
You are rocking it in the online and offline world however not many bosses recognize a leader nkw days so a big kudos to you!!!āŗ
Ha ha,
It was fun to write, thank you so much for your encouragement!
May 2019 be our year for us all !
Ha ha. I have 6 monthly appraisals where we have to write down our goals.
With my online business in mind I write, "Being better at what I'm doing, so I can help others"
Hello Jackie
āBeing better at what I'm doing, so I can help others"
Now that is beautiful!
May we all prosper!
Hello Elaine and Scarlet,
People say leave a place better than you found it. I am happy that you did not tell your boss that she would be "fired" in less than a year, but you showed humility by remaining silent about it. Even when the time comes to do so, please, part with your boss in a very cordial manner.

Oh how I dream of that day!! I plan to stick with my hourly job until my current kitchen manager decides he doesn't want to do the job anymore. Even if I am making plenty of money to quit before he does, I will stay to work with him, he is a great guy!!
But the day he leaves, I leave. I know the restaruant will want me to step up and do some of his position, and I have no intentions of doing that. I have been the sue chef in our kitchen and was grossly underpaid for the position only to see male counterparts get higher pay and more respect for the same job, I am not about to give any more to them without proper compensation, and I won't get that either, so.....
I am dreaming of my day to say "You are fired!" to the owner of the establishment.

You really had me going there for a minute. I had the same "inside story" with my boss a little while ago. š
Let's keep pushing and we'll get there! Persistence is another word for faith!

WOW, that's putting it out there, but shows great commitment on what you really want.
