I'm still working my way through the level 1 training and have chosen a niche. However, I just wanted to clarify/confirm something about building a website around your niche. <
Hi Elisa
Welcome to WA!
A niche is a bunch of people with a degree of interest in a particular subject. So when you consider your brand, think about what is attractive to the people in your niche. Don't think product, think people. I hope that helps ,,,

Hi Richard,
Thanks for your response. Yes, that's a good point about thinking about people versus products. I guess I should clarify though with an example.
Let's say I chose the niche of yoga and yoga equipment. I'm assuming that the content of the blog is more from a personal perspective, say, sharing about diving into the world of yoga and sharing resources along the way. One could share insights and personal experiences with yoga as a beginner and helpful products found for different workouts.
I'm assuming this is the correct direction for an affiliate blog versus a "store" of sorts with yoga equipment. It seems like you could sort of pay-it-forward and share with people what you've personally learned and are continuing to learn in your area of interest.
I just wanted to make sure before I built out my website on the niche I chose.
Elisa
That’s about right Elisa.
The purpose of your blog, is to build up a following of like-minded people in your niche.
To do that you look for questions or queries that people are asking through the search engines, figure out the questioners purpose (google call it “user intent”) then answer the question in such a way that the user’s intent is catered for.

How do I brand my niche website?

I shared this in a response above, but I realized I should clarify though with an actual example.
