Where on the site can I convert a word doc to word press?

Triblu - Thank you for responding to my inquiry of how to convert word to word press. My computer does not have notepad or any of those types of things and they should not be necessary. The only reason I know about not putting word into wordpress is because in the training they mention it and caution against it. But they also go on to say that they have within this platform a converter to convert word to wordpress. I was just wondering where it is at so I can put it to use. If you come acroos it please let me know.
Thanl you, Grant Leduc

Hey Grant,

You can try copy & paste IF you are using an older version of Word.

However, if you're using a newer version of Word apparently there are issues caused when doing this; though I am not sure what those issues might be.

If that is your case, what you could do is copy & paste your content into a text file such as Notepad, making sure it looks like you want it too (paragraph spacing) and then copy & paste your content from say, Notepad into WordPress.

Even when copying & pasting from the older versions of Word, I still have to do some editing (paragraph spacing mostly) ... especially when pasting into the Text tab of WordPress.

Hope this helps you.

When I click google analytics all I get is a blank page. Does anyone else experience this? Is it still available?

It still exists and I am having no trouble getting details when I log in. I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but you might make sure you are actually logged in to the site. At times when I am logged out of my g-mail account my Google Analytics looks empty until I log into Google and then it populates. Good luck as that is very valuable info on your site traffic that will help you make decisions going forward.

boxofpopcorn - thanks - I click on google analytics, clink on sign up and all i get is a blank page. I tried Kyle's link in the instruction video, I tried a google search link etc, with or without being logged into my gmail account. Every time a blank page. Not sure what I am missing, but it is holding up progress on my site. Maybe my computer is blocking it something. Ready to just go sign up to "linktracker" but I would rather not spend the money if I can get Google to work for free.

You definitely want to sign up for Google Analytics for free - you made a great point that you may have something blocking the site for some reason. On my computer when a site is blocked it indicates it on the top right of my search area. The link I used to initially sign-up was

https://www.google.com/analytics/

I don't always understand all that Google does but I know that when I'm logged into my Gmail account I am also logged into Google Analytics, G+, etc

Godo luck

boxofpopcorn - I get the main page with the cute girl on it. It I go to the drop down menu to the upper right and click analytics I get the blank page. https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/

If I go to the menu bar on the left and click analytics I get this -

If I click the sign in I get a blank page.WTH???

boxofpopcorn, I was finally able to get into google analytics. I believe i had a popup blocker or something. That cost ma a week of time. Now I have been trying to find my tracking code for the last 2 hours. My analytic site does not look anything like the youtube site where I have been going for instructions. My site does not have an "admin" at the top as Kyle explains to use. I found my tracking code once, installed it, checked it the way Kyle said to and it did not work so I tried to do it again and I now cannot find the code. As I said my site does not have an "admin" at the top.
This is what it looks like -
https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/#embed/report-home/a104770559w156456176p158043522/

P.S My google plus site looks nothing like the youtube sites.

Any suggestions would be great - Thank you for your help this far. Every step is a trip to the dentist office.

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. Here is the easiest way to find your tracking code:

1. sign into Google Analytics
2. from the menu on the left side of your page, choose "Admin"
3. from the middle section of this page, choose "Tracking Info"
4. from that drop-down, choose "Tracking Code"

Note that for me the "Admin" spot was the very last option on the long menu on the left and not up top as the training indicated. I'm sorry that is not more specific but I hope that helps you find all you need.

boxofpopcorn - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! I cannot thank you enough. Yes I found the "admin" wheel in the lower left hand corner. ( nice if google to bury it in the corner) I don't know how I missed it. I thought that I clicked everything that I could click on the page. In any event I posted both the code and the ID tracking # into my site. Of course the test to see if it was working came back negative but at least now I know where it is if I have to re-do it. I will give it a couple of days to see if it is working. Once again thank you, thank you!! All my best - Grant LeDuc

Cool - Good luck with the rest of your site!

boxofpopcorn - Thank you once again. Now I can move on to the google site map and the rest of the things to get it finished off. I very much appreciate that you took your time out of your day to help me with my problem;. Thank you. I will pay if forward when I get to the point of knowing something that I can pass on to someone else. Once again - Thank you!!!
