Do you think email marketing is a good way to promote our websites and products?
I don't have an email list, so is it ok to get support from bulk email lists providers? What

You need to exercise caution when going to bulk email providers

Thank you for your answer.

Never buy email lists or solo ads. It's too risky and costly. Instead, grow your own email list by offering something valuable to your reader to induce them to optin . But l would recommend only do email marketing if you have decent visitors to your site.

Thank you so much for your valuable answer.

In my opinion NEVER pay for email mail lists. I would always grow your own list by using services such as AWeber, Get Response or Mailchimp to name just a few.

The reasons why I say this the emails you buy are probably out of date and not in use anymore. Plus the user may not be your target audience so will never be interested in your offers. That's if they even open the email as they will not know you from Adam.

Like I say build your own list its far better long term.

Hope this helps :)

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback.

Pleasure anytime :)

Do you recommend Facebook Advertisements? Promoting posts and website for money. Let me know how it works.

Hi Dudulie, my opinion may differ from others. I feel promoting your posts within Printrest is better than using facebook. They both charge. Check on setting up a campaign and the prices with Printerest

I will check Printrest. Thank you so much for the information.

Unfortunately, Printerest promotions does not work in Sri Lanka. Anyway I started advertising in FB and it's going well. I will share the results later.

Good question, thank you for asking it. Very interesting replies. Lots to think about.
C & P

My limited experience is that

1) It gets expensive really quickly
2) You need to be able to spend anywhere between 1000 - 5000 dollars before you get enough data and see good results that you can optimize and improve on
3) You need to know what you're doing (for instance, to be able to determine if this is actually making or costing you money)

This is what I like about the WA strategy so much: we learn how to drive traffic by investing our time (and patience), not our money.

Thank you so much for the reply I will consider that too.

I need to write a message to a company which I am planning to affiliate with. Can anyone help me with a sample letter of an Affiliation request.

Dudulie,

Trish has provided a brilliant response.

Follow her lead.

All the best
Maxine.

Thank you Maxine

No problem Dudulie

Dudulie, I always follow Triblu's suggestions. All the best.

Thank you Iesabre!

Hey Dudulie,

If you need to write to a company or business in order to become an affiliate of their product or service, you might want to make certain that you have enough content (several posts) and that it is relevant to their product or service.

As for a sample letter, you could Google search for suggestions. See screen print below...

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you so much for your valuable answer, and I will google search for a letter. Thank you.

Think in terms of doing a proposal pitch to the company in your sights. Tell them who you are, what you are doing, how it relates to them, and how you will market their product . Make sure to thank them in advance. After all that, go back to working on your site and adding more content.

I use ShareASale for some of the affiliate programs and have never been turned down when I give them a thorough breakdown. Response time has always been quicker than just applying to their sites and if I am turned down, they usually explain to me why it is not a good mix.

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback.

What is the best time to get Affiliate links to my website? Currently, I have three posts and 160 comments. Two articles have been google indexed. I am planning only to affilia

If you do not have any restrictions fro your affiliate program, link away paying close attention to one link per 500 words.

Maxine

Hey Dudulie,

The only other advice I would like to present you with is to always make sure you only ever sprinkle affiliate links in your website. Example: If every post and page have affiliate links, your site will most likely fail to rank well.

Also... make sure your first affiliate link is "below the fold" And... keep affiliate links to NO MORE than 3 per 1000-1500 words.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Dudulie. The only reason for delaying affiliation is the requirements of the company you are affiliating with. Amazon, for example, requires you to make three sales in the first six months and this is difficult to achieve if you have no or little traffic. Other companies have minimum traffic requirements. If there are no such restrictions in your case you have nothing to lose by signing up.
Colette and Philip

Thank you so much for your valuable guidance, Colette and Philip.

If your post is about a product, it is ok to attach an affiliate link to it. Readers may be interested in knowing more about it.

Thank you Ahimbe.

Hey Dudulie!

You can put up links whenever you're ready to begin promoting a product/service.

Keep pumping out content and engaging your audience. Good job on the site it's very attractive.

You have your about me post placed as a page and a post I suggest keeping it as a page and deleting the post

Thank you so much for the prompt response. Do you think that I am ready to ask for affiliation or shall I wait until my website development with more content?
