Dreams are just your unconscious thought about your dreams and you have to move them to your conscious mind and set goals to help you reach them.
It doesn't matter what your background is, if you have the drive to succeed you will. Some of the most successful people grew up poor or relocated from one country to another in the 18th, 19th, and 20th Centuries with only the clothes on their back and one suitcase and found success.
It takes drive and determination to succeed. If you have that you can succeed at anything. All you have to do is then meet the right people to help you make the right connections that can tech you the skills you need to get frm where you are today to where you want to be in the future
