What Are the Habits That You Practice on a Daily Bais?
Are they getting you closer to your Goals in life?
Habit 1 Be Proactive
Don't wait for a problem to occur. Don't wait for problem to happen, anticipate them and have a solution in place when they do happen. There's always more than one way to solve a problem if you don't wait too long.
Habit 2 Begin With the End in Mind
When you start a project know where you want it to end up. When a building is being built they work from a blueprint. You needa blueprint to follow for your project. In the case of an entrepreneur, that blueprint is a business plan or mission statement(action plan) to follow to reach your final destination.
Habit 3 Put First Things First
Always have a daily action plan of what you're going to accomplish that day when working on your goals. Think of your time as money. Would you waste your money that you worked so hard for or would you make it work for you in the bank or in investments. When you put a monetary value on your time, you make every minute count by scheduling the time for your project.
Habit 4 Think Win/Win
Projects go faster when you work with someone. That way you have someone to bounce ideas off of and anticipate problems and their solutions before they happen. In most corporations there;s a project manager and a team he works with, as a small businessman your team can be the people you outsource work to.
In Stephen Covey's book a win/win means:
- Integrety
- Maturity
- Abundance Mentality
Habit 5 Seek to Understand Then to Be Understood
No matter what you do there is a learning curve hen it comes to learning something new. Always be willing to be the student before you become a teacher. The best teachers are those who know their subject inside and out and can give you more information than a book does. They're the true experts and the ones you want to learn from and role model when you become the expert
Habit 6 Synergize
Always be willing to listen to different points of view because you never know who has a better prospective on a subject than you do. No two people experience something in the exact same way and when you bring all these different parts together it can make the end result far better and stronger than you ever imagined it could be.
Habit 7 Sharpen the Saw
This means having balance in your life for work, relationships(family), and play. Often times we get wrapped up in our work that we don't take time to cultivate relationships with business partners or spouces and they suffer. If you don't take time for a vacation or time off you get burnned out and your health suffers.
