Secret to Get Ahead is Getting Started

Whether it's your personal life or business the hardest part is getting started.

Procrastination stops you from achieving any goal. I know someone that lives in the community where I do, that got married to a man because she was afraid that no one else would ask her and stayed with him for 21 years although he physically abused her every day of their marriage. She has some health issues and should be exercising on a regular basis. But, for many reasons, she always comes up with an excuse.

She was using a walker and went for physical therapy. She went for 10 sessions and they gave her some exercises to do, so that she no longer has to use a walker but does use a cane for balance. The physical therapist gave her some exercises to do at home which she says she is currently doing. She's also made the remarks to may-- I'm going to go up to our gym and use the bicycle and exercise--- but then comes up with the excuse that she doesn't want to go up their because there's someone who's constantly talking politics that don't agree with her views and she doesn't want to hear it. She talked about going up to the gym in the shopping center and went to visit it. She came back with the excuse--- it's too dark in there and too crowded.

it's easy to find excuses and play the game--- yes--- but.

Instead of playing the game yes----but tell yourself that with out getting started you cannot progress. Make out a workable schedule and commit to it. Once you commit to it then have someone to hold you accountable to follow up and follow through with your commitment.

It's easy to procrastinate and come up with excuses for not doing anything, but with out a real goal you will never get started on doing anything to help yourself get ahead.
