How a Business Evolves
A small business is constantly evolving, starting from the inception or the idea for the business, to the launch of the business, and finally the growth of the business. Just like any project when you put a team together, you have the idea here man, you have the refiner who takes the idea and works the kinks out of it, and then you have someone who implements the idea.
When looking at the business model for an online business there are many factors to be considered:
1. When advertising online what will bring you the most traffic?
2. How do you analyze your data that you collect from your website?
3. Are you using the merchant model?
4. Are you using the community model?
In the 21st century, the business model has changed. Prior to the 21st century, when customers considered buying products and services they would pick up a phone book all look in the newspaper at ads to decide where to purchase products. Today, customers will first go to Google and research products to buy online.
When they are looking for employment they will even research online various companies that offer opportunities for employment online where they can work from home and have flexible hours. Even entrepreneurs, have websites today even if they sell products in retail stores, because more and more people are buying products online instead of going to stores. This trend has been going on ever since the inception of technology in the 21st century
Online business models are constantly changing and evolving, because it we are still using the trial and error model to determine what works on line to build a successful business today.
Apple is a good example of how a business evolves from a startup under Steve Jobs to a corporation and then stagnates because they stopped developing new products, and then had to bring Steve Jobs back because he was the innovator, who expanded the company to digital music, and cell phones
