Elevator Speech
When you meet someone you have 1 minute to tell them who you are and what you can do
If you already know the person---first talk about how you met
Focus on the Future
Keep it Short--to 45Seconds
Be approachable--make eye contact and use no body language like crossing your arms
Ask questions--turn the conversation back to the person you're talking to
Exchange contact information---elevator speech is an introduction not a close

Important information but with social media being used more for marketing, these encounters are less frequent. I'm glad...elevators freek me out! Thanks for the suggestions. Debbie
It's called an elevator speech but it can occur any place like a networking meeting or a chamber after hours meeting where you meet and greet, even a party
should scope out the elevator in advance where likely prospects are and get a feel for the amount of time in transit!
