Affiliate Analogy - Y is for Yoga
Affiliate Analogy Continues….
Y is for Yoga
Yoga is such a popular exercise. Everyone who is into fitness and good health highly recommends it. So, naturally, I had to try it. At the time, I worked in a fitness center and wanted to be a good example for my clients. I loved to exercise so this seemed like a logical fit. Unlike lifting weights, Yoga presents itself as being non-abusive to your body. It is all about stretching and peace….getting in touch with your inner self, which affects the outer body. It sounds so beautiful and simple.
I was picturing something like this, which I knew I could do.
However, the people in my class looked like this.
They were posing in complicated stretches, twisting and turning their bodies into pretzels! That is not what I signed up for…nor would my body move like that in a million years! I was unfamiliar with the movements and practice that Yoga requires.
Well, the truth of the matter is that if I didn’t quit and stayed with the program, I would have succeeded. I would have progressed a little each time with the proper training. I would have learned what I needed to learn. My muscles….and mind…would stretch with each session and eventually succeed at the most complicated poses.
I felt the same way about starting a blogging website. It’s a perfect fit…I’m opinionated…I like to write….it sounds so simple….create a website and start writing. A few years ago, I did create a blog and start to write. I paid for the domain name and the hosting. This was going to be fun! .
As we all know, there is so much more to it than that. I wrote a few blogs but no one ever read them but me. I had no idea the work needed to get followers. I was clueless about keywords and SEO.
It takes a platform like Wealthy Affiliate to give us the training, tools, and support to learn how to be successful at building an online business. When I first joined as a starter member, I thought this was going to be easy. I never realized the amount of work and time needed to succeed. Even now, it would be easy to quit. However, each lesson stretches my mind. I learn things I didn’t think I could. Step by step, I gain more confidence. I gave up on Yoga, but I will not give up on succeeding online.
With the support of Wealthy Affiliate….all that it offers….all the motivation we receive from each other….we can succeed.
We Can Do This Together!

You found me, again! My experience, on both ends (WA and 'Yoga for seniors'). Thanks, Debbie,
Tim
You know what, I too had started yoga many years ago, and found it refreshing, nothing complicated such as those poses, but something to help me relax. A few weeks ago, with everything reeling in my head, I tried it again and found myself refreshed again. Much to my surprise, Its a got to do now for my sleep mode to kick in. Bottom line, you are right, got to follow through with the WA training and its great to use Yoga as a battery recharge. Thanks Debbie.
Xav.
Hi Xavier...interesting comment. Of course, once mastered, yoga is good for the mind and body...recharging ourselves is essential. Glad it's working for you...can't wait till WA works for all of us. Appreciate your time.
Excellent again Debbie, really nice post!
I can’t remember the last time I balanced on my hands like that but I do remember it was difficult eating my coffee and sandwich? Lol
Thank you for sharing!

That pose is amazing Debbie, a real display of core strength, to get good we have to practice and practice, it can be done just like us here at WA, the more we apply ourselves that better we get. You have just about got there with your journey well done.
Yes, together we are strong. We twist ourselves to get out the right number of words on the blog and figure out SEO. Thank you for reminding us.
