Word Processing - Backwards
There is no doubt about it, a word processing programmakes detecting some writing errors easy to spot and correct. The primary benefit is in detecting grammatical errors. Its not that grammar mistakes are a major issue in an article, but, rather, that poor grammar can make for confusing content. if content is confusing, return traffic is unlikely.
The main difficulty, with using a word processor, is that formatting often does not translate into WP. I find it easier to work backwards with a word processor. I write my text in WP. To check what I have written, I will copy and paste into the word processor. I can see what corrections need to be made and make them in WP.
I don't do this too often, but its helpful at times. I hope this little tip helps you keep on fishin'!

That is why I do all of my writing on text document provided by openoffice.org (a free text/spreadsheet program) It pastes very well in any other platform.

I use this same process. I learned this in the USAF for writing airman performance reviews.
