Translation Plugin

I have worked cross-culturally my whole life. For much of the time, I have been one of a handful of English speakers in an area so I have some idea of what its like to depend on translation.

Because of this experience, I downloaded a translation plugin for my websites. I want people to be able to read in their own language. I useGoogle Translate. My problem is that I have no way of knowing if the translations are good. I read French, but not fully fluently. That translation seems okay to me. Spanish speaking people have told me that the Spanish translation is a bit stilted and that some colloquial expressions are not translated well. They have also said that the translation, for non-English readers, is better than no translation.

I have added the translation plug on my website for two reasons.

  • I want to provide the information on the site in as many languages as possible.
  • Providing translation is a statement that I know not everyone reads English.

Think about adding a translation plugin. Google Translate is easy to install and easy to use. There are lots of other translation plugins available. Check them out. Maybe one of them will work better for your. A translation plugin is a great way for you to help visitors to your site keep on fishin'!

I was just thinking about translation plugins. Linked In has it and I was talking to people in German yesterday. I think it is fun to learn interesting expressions. Like unpredictable leadership is an irresponsible beast. It just sounded interesting the way it was phrased, and the video was fun to watch in German. My mom used to recite German poetry, so it was fun in her memory, God rest her gentle soul. But the plugin tool and translation is a great idea, I think it could help SEO like closed captioning. Wonderful post! Wunderbar lol

Google translate is a bad translation. I just tried it out. Bad French for example.

Translation plugin is first on my list of several recommendations I plan to incorporate on my site. I will need to do some research to be able to use more than one plugin that translates more accurately to a particular language. Thank you for the tip.

Hi, Jim, what a great idea. The web is worldwide we shouldn't expect everyone to speak and read English. I'm going to check them out. Thanks for sharing. All the best.
Ann

thank you for advice so easy to forget this fact

It's good to know more than one language.

Shame Wealthy Affiliate has not got a translation service for our non-English speaking friends?

good idea

Thanks, Jim! I see "translation" options on other sites, but it never occurred to me to add the app to mine!

Bill

Seems to be a good idea to me. Thanks.
