Details are Important

I started Level I of the Online Entrepeneur Certification as soon as I joined WA. With no knowledge about creating an online business, I jumped into the courses enthusiastically. Each course built on the one before. Completing the related practical work gave me a real sense of pride.

Those 5 levels of courses helped me build sites in 4 different niches. Recently, when I decided to go back over some of the training, I found that I had completed only 97% of the course work in 3 levels. I had missed checking off some of the practical work after completion. For example, I neglected to indicate that I had created an Instagram Account. In another level, I didn't check that I had created a post using a specific keyword.

I not concerned about the 97% completion, but rather that I inadvertently missed some steps in the process. Checking 3 or 4 boxes is pretty simple, but I missed a few. Work on a website is much more detailed. Typos, spelling errors, poor grammar, uninviting formatting and inadequate SEO are only some of the things that need close attention.

I skipped the little detail of checking boxes in my rush to move from course to course. Consequently, I never got a notification of completion. All the details that make up a websites are iimportant. ONe little formatting error or a tpyo can negate the impact of skillfully written content. Attention to detail helps everyone, "Keep on fishin",

That is me. I know each time I go to my sites. I will find something to fix. I have struggled with reading and spelling mainly. and that only could have held me back.

I face that demon every day and sometimes it is not easy. I am a 100% student and yet my flours may put me at 97% I will take even 60% that is how bad I can be. But it should not hold me back.

I find my perfection elsewhere. It is not a case of oop I did not but in your makeup kind of thing. I improve daily and that is great.

Thank you, for an awesome Post, Drjec.

Hi Jim, I agree the details are important. I actually promised myself to go through the lesson a few more times once I am finished. I like to ensure all is pinned down.

The details are important. More than that going it over will give me a better understanding too because I'll be looking at the information with more knowledgeable eyes.

Proof reading and rereading content is tough on the computer, but important.

True.

Thanks for reading.

As the saying goes "the devil is in the details".

Many times we've seen or read something so many times that our mind plays tricks on us. It really is important to always go back and check to ensure we haven't missed any of the details.

Thanks for the reminder

This is so true.

It especially makes me crazy when WA members post with obvious typos, poor punctuation and bad grammar. I'm still glad to help, but every single time I worry that they are doing the same thing on their site and as a result won't be successful.

Grammarly has a free version. Please, people, use it!

EDIT: My very next notification showed a title with the wrong word - "Your" instead of "You're"

Now I don't want to read his post!

Yea you have to cover everything.
