Part 2 - Being a Vendor or an Affiliate? An Ex-Tech Also Knows The Answer.

Continuing on from the last post where I have alluded to two "lucky" individuals who have cracked it really, really big online and found success...well, these guys are not what I'd call lucky actually. Lucky is when you go down the local casino and win a million bucks. How often does that happen? Not to be a kill-joy but you probably have greater chance of being struck by a stray lightning bolt that was meant for an old run-down tree than winning a wad of cash. My mum died near penniless chasing that neon rainbow thinking she'd win big one day. That day never came, sadly. We all dream of that but as we all know all too well the reality of life is very different from that for 99.99% of people.

I say lucky but these guys had far more than luck on their side. These two blue-collar made-good ex-plumber's not only thought outside the square but were willing to take a risk, do something totally different and just go for it. And that's WA came into view for me. I did my research on it and put in the hours; I knew it was different. Previously I was doing something that yeah I was passionate about but it was not getting me to where I need and want to go. So, I changed course, keeping the passion for the niche alive absolutely, but do it in a different way. A more cost effective and efficient way.....

And that's where the Affiliate Marketing online business model makes so much sense. And as a part-time vendor I'm qualified to comment on the two systems and how they do differ, significantly.

It makes sense for the following reasons (and this list is by no means exhaustive):

  • No need to worry about shipping or inventory (believe me, these two things alone are an absolute headache)
  • If you don't personally keep or have created the inventory and products yourself, it becomes extremely difficult to control the quality of the products (yet another problem I faced). There's only one way around that (as far as I know) and that is to borrow a big amount of money from the bank and that was not an option for me.
  • Hiring decent influencers (5,000+) on say Instagram, probably works but the fees they charge, well, let's not go there.
  • As an affiliate, customer complaints, shipping delays or refunds is the vendors worry, not yours.
  • Legally and from an insurance point of view, you have far less to worry about as you are not selling the product, you are only promoting it.
  • You have an almost limitless supply of products and niches to promote at your disposal. As Kyle has said, you can go into any niche (thus you can target your passion) and make money. As an affiliate, there's no excuse to be stuck in something you don't like or don't like doing. Also, the potential for scaleability is huge with Affiliate Marketing, I can already see the massive potential now even though I've only been with WA since late June. Imagine after a year of hard work what the rewards will be. And the best thing will be (for me personally) will be to teach and guide others to do the same and say goodbye to their useless job; man, that would be something... I can now fully understand why Kyle and Carson love what they do.

As you can start to gather it's not just about the money for me, it's also about helping other's
get a better life for themselves and make this world just that bit better place. I'm from a poor background and the school of hard knocks, so I know what its like to go without. I know what its like to go hungry and be alone in this world and I don't wish that on anyone. If you ever find yourself in that situation, (believe me it can happen to anybody, my previous marriage went caput and things disintergrated very quickly) please reach out and talk to somebody, there is always someone who will listen and care.

But getting back to today, I had great satisfaction from helping to review three sites - (MorparMuscle), (Luisete2), (Zheaven19x). I did't just go through the motions either - I took the time to look at their sites properly and give a detailed and constructive reply that would actually benefit them in their online journey going forward. I was polite and courteous and was not coarse or stinging with my feedback. Frankly, there is no need for that. I also didn't just focus on the negatives, I focused on what they are doing right first off and tried my best to make a balanced PROS and CONS list for each site.

The Affiliate online business model is, to me, an absolute no-brainer and the training and support offered here is nothing short of first-class. I'm currently at the Traffic Breakdown section going through keywords and targeting buyers at the right point in time based on that keyword and its content. That concept in itself will be extremely powerful if used correctly.

Its amazing stuff and something I should have gotten into many moons ago. I still enjoy managing my own local part-time workshop as a bike repair and service guy but at the end of the day it makes far more sense to pursue something that will be truly life-changing. I hope you can join me on this exciting journey and one day who knows, we'll be sipping martini's in the Caribbean...or maybe the Gold Coast (party central!), come down my way! Have a great week and more thoughts soon...
