I thought I would skip the lessons for a day or so to give a personal update on my own progress so far.
Well I was progressing through the 1st level exercises OK till I came up against (installing widgets in your website) as in lesson (adding menus and navigation) I watched the video lesson read the action needed to be taken and proceeded to install the menus and widgets.
Well adding the Menus at the top of the page proved quite straight forward and followed the instruction that was shown in the lesson, adding the widgets was completely different from the website featured in the lesson, I was not aware then that all websites are configured differently so adding certain functions to one site will not necessary work on another.
Such was the case with me no matter what I did the widget would not show on the site, I posted my problem on live chat and got assistance from one of the members together we worked on this for over a week to get it the way I wanted.
I got angry and annoyed because I followed the lesson as shown on the video but my site was not configured that way, it has been suggested I should have changed themes if I did not like the one I had, that is when I thought I have spent all this time trying to figure this out I am going to find the answer and maybe help others later who might struggle to do this task as well.
I have progressed to the second level lessons, bought my Domain and transferred my original site to the new domain also I have written out my first post on my site www.lightboxstudio.com
Please visit the site and leave a comment on my post, I would also ask that members do such could include their links so I could look at what they are doing and learn more than I know at present.
So I have a choice to make soon do I pay to become a yearly member, at the moment I am a Premium member on the trial fee $19 I have a few days yet left to decide, on the whole here I have enjoyed my time some resources are great also the fact you can host 25 sites on the same hosting service should help keep your costs down running a business online going forward.

I had a very similar problem yesterday and I changed my theme 25X before I decided to reach out to someone in the community.
After looking it over, she made a suggestion and even that didn't work. Now, at this point, she could have given up on me or I could have given up trying but neither of those things happened and I am happy to say I am thrilled with the results!
There will be moments of frustration and disappointment because you aren't as far along as you could be but one thing to remember is: this isn't a race. Success is a process and happens in stages.
Keep pushing forward and never be afraid to reach out to a member in live chat, PM, as a daily post or even site support.
We are a pay it forward community and we want to see you succeed. :)

Thanks for replying to my post today, I am confused you mentioned something about not giving up? who exactly has given up?? I am still here I reached out to the community, I have put an honest effort into every task I have attempted here.
I don't think you have understood the reason I put up my post, it was simply to offer an update on where I am at present, it is not about the problems I encountered tackling the tasks, I am not criticizing the lessons or how they are presented.
I would have rather you visit my site and left a comment, but I am grateful you have at least taken the time to reply, I thank you for that and hope you have a pleasant weekend.
